Can't remember the last time there was so little shite-talking between LSU and Bama on here the week leading up to the game.

Too tired to generate enough animosity to get into a good trash-talking session; best I can do is some mid-level apathy.

Both teams are kinda meh this year. Just not a lot of heat both ways.

1) There was an election this week
2) There was a hurricane threat this week
3) Both teams have two losses and neither is that confident
4) Saban is gone

We'll see moving forward whether BAMA-LSU becomes bama - lsu without the greatest coach of all time being in the mix.

If we beat LSU 45-14 I will not be surprised.

If the game goes to OT with one team winning by a single point I will not be surprised.

If LSU beats us 45-14 I will not be surprised.

Kind of hard to talk much trash when the outcome feels like tossing a dart blindfolded.

I think both fan bases are still riding the high from the Presidential election.

Too happy to bitch at one another at the moment.

I blame the election. I think for many of us, we realize there are some things that are more important than winning than a football game. The other people are in the corner crying.

I imagine things will go back to normal by the game thread on Saturday night.

It was really only a rivalry for LSU fans anyway, which I guess was because of Saban.

Plus, it's basically a coin flip game and everyone knows it.

That’s because neither team thinks they win this game. Face it. You’re both middle of the pack teams. Neither team is better than Carolina this year. We outplayed both of yall. And let’s not forget Vandy. Settle back this weekend and watch two anemic teams play. LSU will return to its better days but Bama will slide to the lower end of the SEC.

The season is over for the loser, but the winner will be looking good. I expect a lot of gloating from the winner.

This. I think we're all hoping we don't lose rather than being confident we'll win. That said, the winner will definitely be here to gloat like we knew it all along.

Outplaying two teams and managing to lose to both is a special level of incompetence.
