Of course they want to lower the bar and keep the incentive for making the playoff

Moo U would have a shot at the playoff with a 24 team expansion.

I don’t think there’s been a single positive change to college football in the last decade. I’m sure that’s hyperbole on my part, but man give me the BCS combined with a 4 team playoff and call it a day.

"I had multiple coaches tell me that 90% of the coaches in the SEC and 100% of the athletic directors in the SEC favor a 24-team model for playoff expansion."

Schools like Alabama, Texas, and Georgia won't be satisfied with first round victories in an expanded playoff. For instance, had there been a 24-team playoff in 2025, Alabama would have played North Texas at home in the first round (gripping). Had Alabama somehow managed to defeat the Mean Green of Denton, we would have traveled to Norman to play Oklahoma. Had Alabama lost that game instead of winning it (as we did historically), the pressure would have increased and not lessened on DeBoer.

They are all greedy mediocre assholes.
Too much mediocre rot like Drinkwitz just wants a playoff participation bonus

So 1.5 coaches not for it? Too bad Saban is gone. Perfect short joke opportunity.

Anyone who says "meaninglessness bowl" isn't a football fan

Cannot wait to see the nine seed Alabama Crimson Tide play the 24th seed Memphis Tiger who are 9-3.

I doubt most fanbases in the SEC would not be satisfied with a round 1 victory over North Texas if that is as far as a coach can get.

I am sorry to tell you Drinkwitz isn't getting Mizzou to a winning record this coming season.

Of course they do. They lose their jobs if they don't "make the playoff"
