Oh.. I just saw LSU fighting for players against the NCAA/SEC to further their careers for one more collegiate season.

Recruits see them as heroes.

What?? Yes the majority of folks think they will and should make playoffs. Expectations are out the rough now and so are distractions!

Is he going to have to tell these two players they cannot play because the penalties that are coming to lsu are too severe? Dang that would be harsh and such a disaster for Kiffin. It’s a strong possibility
The sec is not giving in

Oh y’all are all about “tHe players.” What about the players that were promised a spot out of high school (listen 18 year old recruit moment) and now they are moved back several spots after busting their arse because (another player????) comes in and has NFL experience (diet, industry best practices knowledge, top tech pro athlete engineering) and moves him back. Listen up recruits. Knowledge is power.

Don’t recall saying that

I’m about if you are going to make a rule you make it in the most efficient and cleanest way possible, the NCAA was warned what would happened.

Once the rule is made and your mess is made I am about fair and impartial application of that rule. If you want to make and apply a rule that says NFL players cannot play, then make a rule that says if you make an NFL roster you can’t play, otherwise you are cutting out players and allowing players with essentially the same amount of nfl experience

This oh the poor players thing you are arguing against me with is not one I made, it is one you are making in your response however. That argument is applicable to any of the 5 for 5 players however and not just the ones that signed a UDFA agreement. My argument would be either all of the 2022 should be allowed to play or none of them should. The fake moral outrage over guys like Harris is tiresome. Although can understand why ole miss fans would be upset about that one

The only fans who'd think that "LSU is now the most hated program in CFB" are ones who spent way too much time in the last few weeks on this board, which is completely unbearable right now.

Did LSU get you fired from your job, make you sin, destroy your family ect? LSU isn't harming you or any other person posting on this board, buttercup.

It's harmful to everyone else.

And all of those were given waivers/exceptions prior to them going through the NFL draft or signing a contract with an NFL team... Those were also situations that fell under the exceptions of the NCAA and/or SEC. Both have stated rules about this and doubled down on them during this fiasco and still LSU chooses to say "frick you, we are above everyone else, including the rules we voted on and agreed to..."

If it’s such an easy, clear cut case, why was the SEC caught completely unable to explain the basis for its rule made after the fact for these players yesterday?

Penalizing players for taking path A when that was the only path available to them at the time is horse shite. How could they have reasonably foreseen option B was coming down the pike two months later?

You’re in effect blaming students for adults in charge fricking everything up. No way to explain that one away.

Hated by who- most of ESPN?

But I do have a serious question: Even if this were true- so?

I actually hope we are eventually considered "most hated"- because that would very likely mean we're boat-racing the competition.

So school everyone on what does age well- drag racing with your younger sibling in the back seat?

Personally- I don't care if UGA tries to put Young Steve Bartkowski in at QB. But you seem a little obsessed with this.
