Only because a judge shut him down.
It wasn't because of anything noble that Alabama or the conference did.
It was a single exception.
LSU/Kiffin launched a campaign to change the entire rules of the conference against the conference and its members wishes.
I guess you'll find out soon enough.

There is the kind of hate where the team is always good and tough to beat. And there is the kind of hate for the team that is led by an a-hole.

He did the exact same thing Alabama did. The difference was the conference randomly created a rule against LSU, and didn't against Alabama.
Actually, he didn't do the exact same thing because he hasn't played anyone yet. Alabama played Bediako in 5 games.
Rules for thee, not for me.

No, it did not.
The Alabama case did not change the rules for the entire conference, it was a single and specific excepton.
Same thing with Chamberless.
The federal case is a 1st amendment of the constitution case, not an eligibility case.

Yoiu keep saying that as if you can't understand the actions by the schools in question were the same. It's the conference who reacted differently.

But y’all are forcing the nuclear option no?

Look, it would hurt my heart if LSU was not part of the SEC.
Are y’all willing to risk that???

Why not?
quote:The federal case is not LSU “pulling this shite” it is the SECs response to LSU “pulling this shite”. The shite being, players suing for eligibility after being considered pros. Suits brought before any specific rule was in place
The federal case is a 1st amendment of the constitution case, not an eligibility case.
Aka the shite Alabama pulled

No, the difference was the Alabama case allowed 1 specific player on 1 specific claim.
Chamberless same thing - 1 specific player on 1 specific claim.
LSU/Kiffin launched a coordinated campaign to bypass and change the rule completely on who is eligible.
That's why it's a 1st amendment case.
Go over to google and ask it why if you don't believe me. Then maybe you can start to understand why the vote was 15-0 and why the conference is united against LSU and why the SEC filed a lawsuit in federal court.
But I guess you'll all keep pretending it's the same as other cases as long as you can. Some of you may take it to your graves.
If the SEC wins that case, they will be ineligible. If the SEC loses the case(and loses the appeal), they will likely start looking at removing LSU from the conference - if the conference and conferences in college football are even able to continue. It will be the destruction of conference autonomy.
You have no idea what you've done.

According to "unnamed sources", who are notoriously reliable.

Jesus, stop crying about it and do something. I literally don't care if a conference full of hypocrites and Karens kicks LSU out because they're terrified.

Oh well as long as it’s one player at a time doing it it’s fine then, certainly couldn’t lead to more players doing it. It’s all fine then

LSU/Kiffin launched a coordinated campaign

change the rule completely on who is eligible.
Or the rule that totally didn’t exist when Alabama did it?

How many people were made eligible with the Alabama case? 1
How many people were made eligible with the Ole Miss case? 1
How many people were made eligible with this case? Hundreds.
1 of them forced the entire conference to change it's rules.

It's wild that people like you believe that LSU and Lane Kiffin coordinated a lawsuit with hundreds of athletes across multiple states.

They have to get specific exceptions. That's why the ruling made 1 player eligible, not hundreds.

That is what the lawsuit directly accuses LSU of.

The rule always existed. The SEC tried to clarify the rule and show LSU the entire conference was united about it even with the recent changes.
LSU ignored that clarification.
Now you are being sued in federal court for 1st amendment violations.
