I feel bad for Jay Johnson. In all accounts he seems like a really good guy, great coach, and does things the right way. I'm sure he hates being associated with the freakshow Kiffin/Wade/Mulkey. Can you imagine if LSU baseball was no longer part of the SEC because of this ridiculous crap?

Remember before the UCLA game when LSU fans were laughing about the sissy blue shirts comment but by halftime they were wanting O-s head on a platter and amazing he wasn't focused? Saturday night will be like that. Can't wait to see the melt when Clemson wins.

Because they aren't only hurting LSU! They are harming college football! Not even limited to the SEC, but college football is hurt by one dumbass narcissist coach and a group of dumb local yokels that care only about themselves. Just like when Lane started the incessant fake injuries. The good of the game does not matter to him, LSU, and even the dumbest governor in our country.

Miami was the last universally hated (and actually widely loved) team, the "bad boys", the Darth Vader of football.
Texas Tech went over the line with Sorsby. Nobody is using them in marketing, because that was toxic.
Meanwhile Dr Pepper put Lane into the Fansville commercial, and chose to release that ad after the courts ruled these guys eligible. They were aware, and chose to run with that. That tells me Dr Pepper thinks A) LSU will be relevant and a major player this season, and B) there will be ongoing Kiffin drama manufactured all season, and C) none of that drama will be serious, just entertainment.

They are literally paying a coach who has won two G5 conference championship and never won anything of consequence at the P5 level despite coaching 11 years there, as if he's a national title winner already.
These rubes made fun of this guy for years.
It is what it is.
I used to think he probably had a 50/50 shot at winning one there.
But the truth is this dude is the same as he always was. He's a great offensive mind, but doesn't have the focus like a Saban or Kirby to keep his eyes on the prize.
Championships are not what drive him. He just wants those for the glory and adulation he would receive from it. If he does win one, he'll likely fall off just like Orgeron did.
