Coach O will bring them more sanctions if Kiffin hasn't already left some more to be discovered.

You're crazy. Southern Cali is one of the best places to live in the country. USC will get who they want.

Not even close. I was stationed there twice while in the Marines. It's a single Marine's paradise if you can avoid a pregnant trap or getting an STD on Hill Street but SoCal, outside of San Diego sucks balls. The whole city of LA is a giant Ghetto, shite is way to expensive, the state government blows and people there are generally assholes. I can think of about 44 states I would rather live in than that liberal garbage dump of a state.

IMO Pertrino would possibly be a good fit..

If USC called Petrino, WKU fans would choke on the smoke as he burned rubber to the airport. They would be replacing one sleaze ball with another.

No fan of P.Finebaum here but he was on ESPN this morning and called LK a "punk". Really ripped him, as he did on GameDay yesterday as well. ESPN commentators basically kept their mouths shut during both rants. Also said he cann't see LK landing another college football HC job and that he "burned" bridges in the NFL with the way he was fired and responded. Karma is a great thing. Wonder if his wife is the next to bail out on him?

Petrino has his GA leaving notes on the lockers as we speak, while he jumps on his Harley and heads out west to bang some SoCal skanks.

Probably not a good move for USC, in terms of PR. But the key difference is, Petrino is a sleaze ball that wins.

He deserved to be fired in that manner after he left UT in the middle of the night without speaking to the Vol players.

Karma. I love it.

Petrino speculation aside, Jack Del Rio has to be the clear frontrunner here, and ESPN seems to agree. He's an alum, charismatic, and is coaching on the hottest team in the NFL, right now. If Denver actually goes on to win the Super Bowl, you can just about book that hire.

USC really isn't that great of a job. The facilities, fan support, etc is not great. There is a hot bed for recruits but they no longer have a lock on any of them.

lolwut

Didn't they just finish the McCay Center? Their facilities are just fine.

They're due to come off of sactions soon. It's in LA. That job is great.

But I'm glad Kiffin got canned. Couldn't have happened to a nicer scrub coach.

Pete Carroll isn't a good coach either, at least not x's and o's.

Surround yourself with a good staff and recruit. Success at USC will follow.

Oh, and don't be a prick like Lane Kiffin.

I think Sumlin holds out for NFL job. If he does go, Art Briles to aTm.

If Sumlin goes to USC A&M will hire Chad Morris, Clemson's OC, the highest paid OC in the country, who is an A&M Former Student to be head coach pretty much the same day. It's an absolute no-brainer. Art Briles hates A&M. It is obvious any time the subject of A&M has been mentioned around him.

So true.

Part of the reason they fired him this early was because their fans hated his friggin guts. When you're new or winning, you can be an azzhole and the fans will apologize for and excuse it, but they'll rip your arse apart when you start losing.

I honestly think he'd have been able to make it through the season and possibly have gotten another year if had a better reputation.

Can we touch on what a dumbass he was for taking that job when he did in the first place? Everyone knew USC was going to get hammered and that it was why Pete Carroll bolted, but he took it anyway.

Isn't Briles obsessed with the Texas job? I could have sworn I heard or read that somewhere.

They'll offer Sumlin the job if they think they can get him. I am exceedingly confident that they can't get him.
