Line makes sense to me. State D is very good vs run, which is Kentucky's strength. State D is horrific vs. pass, which is not Kentucky's forte. If Kentucky comes out and finds early success chucking the ball, they win. They try to run up and down the field, it gets dicey. Kentucky also has a really good D, so perhaps they can simply shut down State's "offense". In the end, I think Kentucky wins, but it's probably a 4 quarter game.

Analog game is State vs. NC State. NC State is obviously the better team, but they played right into State's strength. This is about the same, except I think Kentucky can be more dynamic with the pass game than NCS tried to be.

Kats by 11 in my estimation as Kentucky has played the better schedule against higher quality opponents.

I think the analog game for UK is probably Mizzou. A steady dose of short passes seemed to be successful against UK's defense. I think the first team to score 24 probably wins this one.

UK’s SOS is 50th. MSU’s SOS is 18th.

If State gets an early score first then I think they cruise like they did against NC State. That kickoff return against NC State is what changed the momentum of that game and won it. NC State got hit in the mouth and looked scared after that.

Should be a decent game. I would expect it to be a close defensive battle but then again we play like trash in Starkville.

You Realized that Mississippi State has played 3 Ranked teams (Bama, Texas A&M and NC State)

What about those three isn't high quality?

NC State is doodoo this year fwiw. They lost to Miami this weekend who is rancid. They best LA Tech by one score.

I honestly forgot yall beat A&M. Definitely tip my cap to State for that.

Yes, you played Alabama. And lost 49-9. Not sure what we're supposed to do with that.

I would avoid going down the “they only beat X by one score” path if was a UK fan

i will be honest. I think Kentucky will lose. I dont expect State to throw 6 interceptions and go 3 for 17 on 3rd down. i think this is a bad matchup for kentucky who only gained 157 total yards last game. its going to be close, but i think its a 31-27 bulldogs win, but im wrong a lot.

The Cats have a good running game. Both teams have good rushing defenses.

Kentucky averages 217.8 on the ground in conference play. For comparison purposes, A&M averages 189.8 and Bama 170.4. State held A&M to 161 and Bama to 195.

My question is this: if State holds Kentucky to around their average rushing yards per game (190 - 210 or so), does Kentucky have enough in the air to get the job done?

State's passing D isn't terrible, but it isn't average either.

I’m waiting patiently to be able to watch Kentucky’s best season ever come to an end at the hands of Mississippi State live on national television.
