Wouldn’t that release Texas and OU penalty free to the SEC for 2022?

Iowa went on record last week as supporting ISU to the Big 10.

B1G is not this dumb, they are not taking a pay cut to subsidize ku.

But for fun, lets say for some crazy reason FOX agreed to raise the B1G payouts if they added ku. MU won't be the 16th. No way Mizzou leaves the SEC for a multi-year JR membership where they earn less than others as they buy into the B1G network. And the SEC is about take over as #1 money conference by a long shot with the noobs aboard.

B1G sucks.

Think that we would still need 3 more.. but this helps.

Texas, Oklahoma to SEC
Kansas to B1G
Tech, Ok State to PAC or AAC

That would get it done I believe.

West Virginia to the ACC
Baylor, TCU to the AAC
Kansas State to the PAC or AAC
Iowa State to the PAC, B1G or AAC

Those are all of the options that I currently know about..

That rumor started on kU boards due to the intense self-promotion campaign they started recently. The Big 10 is not interested in Kansas at this time.

The Big 10’s best move right now is no move. They’re no longer in the catbird seat but they’re not in any danger unless the SEC comes after some of their members.

And Mizzou is not interested in the Big 10. There is absolutely no chatter whatsoever on Big 10 boards about raiding the SEC. Frankly, I think they’re afraid to go that route. Rightly so, too. If they start a land war, they’ll lose. There’s just no move they can make to counter the SEC’s bombshell.

They messed up mightily two years ago by turning down OU’s inquiry. I guess they thought UTA would come without them. Best for them to sit tight and hope Notre Dame will finally take a look at them.

Stewart Mandel just tweeted something to the effect of:

The SEC adds Texas and OU, and we're to believe the B1G's response is to add the worst football program in P5.

Yeah, I bet the SEC office is kicking themselves for that big screw up. Here they go and invite Oklahoma and Texas, not realizing that Kansas was in play.

Covering up sexual misconduct and recruiting violations. They will fit in great there.

BIG + Kansas + PAC 9 = 24

This is the best play they have left.

Add Nebraska, Iowa & Kansas to the PAC 9 and make 4 pods of 6, or two divisions of 12.

USC
UCLA
Stanford
California
Oregon
Washington

Nebraska
Iowa
Kansas
Arizona
Colorado
Utah

Michigan
Michigan State
Wisconsin
Minnesota
Illinois
Northwestern

Ohio State
Penn State
Indiana
Purdue
Maryland
Rutgers

That’s a solid move imo. All are AAU schools (except Nebraska who lost it) and the footprint is fricking huge..

Definitely, since Iowa St is also AAU (and yes, that actually does matter to the B10).

Wouldnt surprise me if it ultimately doesnt. Neb lost their AAU less than a year after joining and the B1G deosnt seem to care.

Kansas brought in more revenue than 5 current Big 10 schools last year and also ranks ahead of 6 current Big 10 schools in brand value. It's not like they would be bottom of the conference.

This isn't about how much money you bring in for yourself. This is about how much money you'd make for your potential new conference mates.

ku Football inventory is worth approx 0.00$

ku would provide a lot of attractive basketball matchups in the B1G, but it's highly unlikely to be worth an extra $50 million to fox.

They need a partner. ISU?

I see WVa and Notre Dame to the ACC and TTech and a partner to the PAC. The rest to G5

Iowa state is already am AAU school. But I think the Big 10 is hoping to lure Notre Dame. They'd make an expectation, because the academics are great. I think the ACC is more likely to be at risk of implosion as a football conference than the Big 10. And it just makes more sense from a geographical and financial perspective. Big 10 gets more money, and adding Norte Dame would increase that. The only benefit the ACC provides is an easier path to a conference championship.

Kansas & Iowa State to B1G.
WVU & ND (or UCF) to ACC.
TT, TCU, OkSt & Baylor or KSU to PAC.
Any B12 leftovers join the AAC.

P4: SEC, ACC, B1G & PAC, each with 16 teams.

Except they were AAU when they were invited and the B10 commish at the time said otherwise they wouldn't have been.

Some ku fan dreams up this BS scenario. Mizzou is lucky as hell to be in the SEC and the admin and fans know it...we ain't leaving to the big rusty.

Why doesn’t the Big12 just add Colorado State, Houston, and BYU. Nice compact conference.

Lately, in football:

BYU > Texas

Houston = West Virginia

CSU << Oklahoma

In this scenario the Big 12 can live on, albeit reduced.
