If fields was so dominant, he would be mentioned in the same breath as burrow for the Heisman. But even with his stats, he's nowhere close to beating out Burrow because everyone knows his stats are against garbage teams while burrow has beat four top 10 teams. LSU has put up over 500 yards versus all the good defenses they have played because of burrow

I mean not really. If Fields goes off the next two weeks then he will firmly put himself in the Heisman discussion. He has a 31:1 TD to INT ratio...which is just absurd this late in the season. He's 4th in the country in QB Rating and is having a great year. He needs to do it in the big games in November, but there's been no indication that he won't be able to do so.

LINK

He's 3rd in this voting poll and it is basically saying Fields can make a late push if he plays well. Again you hate OSU so it's understandable why you would say what you say

It would be like the 2016 playoff but worse. OSU had actually played a decent schedule up to that point in 16. This time they're packing an inexperienced QB and Clemson has a national champion QB. OSU will be shellshocked. And idk why you think it's unlikely, no one's going to jump LSU lol

No one has any chance to pass Joe burrow for the Heisman voting considering Joe plays Arkansas and Texas A&m the next two games. He's not going to choke

How did that schedule thing work for Alabama last season?

This is about matchups. Lawrence can't handle organic rush and OSU has the best rushing D-Line in the country. He won't be able to just toss jump balls to his receivers because OSU has 4 NFL DBs.

OSU's run game is real, and their O-Line and D-Lines are better than the Clemson counterparts. Etienne will get his, but he alone won't be able to keep up with OSU. As soon as they get down and it becomes rush 4/drop 7 Chase Young will eat, Lawrence will struggle, and Clemson will be in trouble.

This is just a horrible matchup for Clemson.

You haven't watched OSU at all this season, and it's obvious. Fields isn't going to be inexperienced as that will be his 14th/15th game starting. Lawrence was in like his 12th start in the national title game.

OSU isn't getting blown out by anyone. In 2016, OSU fans would fully admit that their offense had holes. This year, way less holes (although I will say Fields has underthrown/overthrown a good number of his long passes recently).

I have..... Their backups on the D-Line and secondary are almost just as good as the starts. I don't know if they have

real starters though as they substitute so much.

OSU played Clemson tomorrow Lawrence would take 4+ sacks, throw 3 interceptions, and lead his team to at least a 2 TD loss.

This is probably not far from the truth. Lawrence can’t move back there like other more athletic QBs. Plus OSU has the best secondary in the nation. Clemson is second but OSU will run and use a lot of reverses. Clemson would be wise to try and get Etienne going if they were smart. But OSU might not let that happen.

Their D-line is up their also.... the linebackers are the weak link even though they are also good but I don't think they are elite. They are probably the "weak link" on that team, that is if they have one.

Alabama's schedule last year wasn't great, probably not much better than Clemson's. This year's OSU schedule is putrid. The Big 10 has taken a nosedive. MSU sucks now, Penn State is overrated, Michigan offense hasn't proven much, Wisconsin is always a one trick pony, Minnesota is a cute story but it would take like 6 turnovers for them to have a shot against OSU due to sheer talent disadvantage

LMAO. That is a cute story. Say what you want about OSU’s schedule but they’ve played NFL teams compared to Clempson’s schedule. Tell me who wouldn’t look great putting up huge numbers against a bunch of four and five loss ACC train wrecks

[quote]. This year's OSU schedule is putrid.[/quo

I hear the same thing about them every year, every single year. I remember a few years ago when Fla. State and Jameis Winston beat Auburn for the title on the last play of the game...
Man, you tal about a putrid schedule they played that year, they played it.. The ACC was it's usual garbage, only worse. Clemson was their only decent opposition that year. But you know what, nobody, and I mean nobody said anything about that... Why is that? Even when Ala. plays a crappy schedule there is less discussion about how crappy there schedule is. The way I see it in the next 3 weeks Ohio State will play (3) teams in the top 14.

The ACC is never a great conference for football, and back in 2013 it certainly wasn’t a monster. But it was head and shoulders better five or six years ago than it is in 2019. The conference rankings have the ACC as sixth, behind the PAC-12 (5) and AAC (4), Big XII (3), B1G (2) and SEC.

sorry to say it, but honestly, without Tua to score the points, the UA defense isn't good enough for UA to be a title contender this year.

Hurts had more turnovers last weeks than Fields has had this season.

This is such a stupid argument. Y’all always use this to fit you absurd narratives until one time it sticks and then blabber about it for weeks. I can’t count how many times LSU has been smeared after using that argument against teams by equal or better talent that have breezed through awful teams. Battle hardened or poor development because of schedule has blown up in your fanbase’s face too many times for me to take you cucks seriously in that debate.
