I see that you realized that you cannot read and tried to change the subject. Well played.
And an OSU fan has no business discussing coaching competence this year. Purdue beat you 49-20. That great OC that you promoted put up 20 on Purdue.

quote:I agree, but which more competent player sat behind a less competent player? Fromm was clearly better than Fields. You can't automatically assume that just because Fromm struggled in two games that Fields would have done well.
If you have competent players that sit behind less competent players, yes.

quote:Our passing game was fine. very efficient. georgia ran the ball on purpose because that is what we do best. An incompetent OC would have done just the opposite. You should, more often than not, play to your strength.
Statistics.
quote:Yes you can. If you don't herpderp a game then you would have gone. You lost to Purdue by 29 points!
1. Ohio State finished 13-1 with Big Ten and Rose Bowl championships. Can't control which four teams the committee decides to put in.

quote:So, it is your opinion that Ryan Day is a better coach than Urban Meyer? OOooookay.
2. Ryan Day did more than enough to get Ohio State to the playoff this year. Ryan Day will be his coach, not Urban Meyer.

All have transferred

I don't believe OU wanted him. I'm surprised he didn't give Penn St another look. Mcsorley graduated, so it would've been an easier spot to walk into.

I never understood why he decommitted from PSU just to wind up in Athens. Fromm had just lead his team to the NCG, and unless Fromm got injured, Fields would've had his arse on the bench for 3 years until he got meaningful playing time. It's not like RB or WR where multiple 5-star guys can get meaningful playing time every game. Heck, if Eason had never gotten hurt, Fromm may have already transferred by now.

Nah Riley won't have a Heisman trophy winning caliber qb gift wrapped too him. We'll see what he's all bout this year.

UGA was always an odd choice for Fields. He'll do well at tOSU.

He should've went to mizzou

The fact that Fromm was sitting last year until an injury shows how unwilling this coaching staff is to sit an established starter.
The fact that Fields played well early (passing and running), and his playbook shrank instead of expanded as a result shows how committed the staff was to developing his skill-set.
The fact that Fromm played much better when the staff lined up behind him and pulled away from Fields means they knew enough to understand what the starter needed to prosper, and they were right. They risked losing Fields to get the best out of Fromm.
They got the best out of From, and they lost Fields. Only time will tell if the gamble paid off.

I don't believe Fields is leaving because of Fromm. Rather, Fields sees how Bama used their backup last season and this season, how Clemson used their backup this season, and all Fields is doing is handing off to RBs. This is why Fields is leaving. He would not be developed at UGA. At Ohio State Fields will be developed whether he's the starter or he's splitting time for a while.

I read somewhere else that Lincoln Riley was pursuing other QB's.

Far as I am concerned Ohio State just caught cancer.
Maybe. He certainly didn't handle the situation well.
The bottom line is that he was stupid to sign with Georgia. He made a bad choice. He decided he would correct his mistake.

It’s not like Tua and Fields’ stats would have looked that different if Fields didn’t play in the National Championship game.

I think at this point Ryan Day is a better offensive mind than Urban Meyer. He's more up to date offensively. A better coach? No, I don't think that.

Auburn, not a UGA fan, but this is a knuckleheaded move on Fields part...go to OSU and sit for a year to have a shot at the starting job in 2020. Or, stay at UGA, sit next year (if you want to), good chance Fromm enters the 2020 draft, and take over as starter in 2020. And, should Fromm get hurt, you get the job then.
Jawja fans, I'd say good riddance.
