I’ll be contrarian and say this is a good thing for the student athlete.

I completely understand that point of view and even held it for a while. But then I realized every kid who is upset they aren’t getting playing time can transfer to some other school who will give them that time right away.

How bad was the racism at Georgia for this to happen?

The ncaa makes a ton of money off the players and coaches can switch team’s immediately. Besides, fromm beat him out. Sometimes things just don’t work out.

In addition just think of how bad tampering is going to be with this.

“Now that this matter is concluded, I would like to clarify some facts,” Fields said in a statement. “I have no regrets about my time at UGA and have no hard feelings for the school or football program. My overall experience at UGA was fully consistent with UGA’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. My sister is a softball player at UGA. I am still close friends with many of my UGA teammates. A part of me will always be a Georgia Bulldogs fan.”

OMG He was terrified at Georgia

Probably agreed to testify about the money thUGA paid him for immunity and immediate eligibility

I doubt that, but why do you think Kirby Smart was being so agreeable about this whole thing?

Arkansas will probably get Nick Starkel now, he was considering Ohio State in case Fields had to sit out.

I like him better than Hicks.

Such bullshite, a drunk kid making an ill-advised attempt at humor is the reason Fields is able to play. There was even a story published after the event where it was revealed the kid called Justin and apologized for what he did and Justin said he was cool with the guy. I hope he tears both ACL's, fricking douchebag.

It's going to be at an NBA level in no time. What LeBron/Klutch just tried to do to the Pelicans is going to be a slow Tuesday in college football now.

I blame Fake Punt Kirby.

Fields should've never been at UGA, but Kirby and the bagman made promises they couldn't keep.

Choke yourselves Dawgs. You made yourselves, and even the conference look like buck-toothed racist rednecks. George Pickens is next.

How many Deep South schools have kids transferring over racism the last decade?

Georgia must have some bad racism issues on campus. Yikes.

In 2019, it would have been a bad look in the media for Kirby if he fought back against the claims of racism

he felt uncomfortable, he could have took his happy arse home and not played the rest of the season. He left because he couldn't win the job...the racial bullshite had nothing to do with his transfer.

Wait

People actually believe he was uncomfortable due to racism and that’s why he left?

Good for him... There is more to the story than one baseball player and although I do not have facts, it is believed that UGA does not want more to come our about this. Kirby recruits dirty. The NCAA had no choice.

No one actually believes that, but they're saying it to troll us Georgia fans.

This will be the new reason to get immediate eligibility (the race card).

This has happened at every sec school, likely every school in the country at some point....

If they were so worried about racism his little sis would not be at UGA playing softball....

Some idiot baseball player that went to UGA said the N word in the stands. Justin Fields didn’t even know about it until some triggered girl in the stands decided to write an essay to the world about it.

Justin Fields couldn’t beat out Jake Fromm so he played the victim card in order to get immediate eligibility at Ohio State.

The POS knows how much of a dick move it is that he didn’t even have the balls to man up to the reason he was granted eligibility: “Now that this matter is concluded, I would like to clarify some facts,” Fields said in a statement.

Thanks NCAA now we can expect entitlement syndrome to become even more rampant in college football!

I had no problem with Justin leaving but the way he felt like he was owed a starting job without working for it is bs.
