You mean the kid that was removed from the program? Seems like UGA did exactly what they should of done. You can't mind 18-22 year old kids 24/7 to make sure they aren't all out doing dumb shite.

Since Nick Saban called me a "Coonass", I am eligible to transfer and become a fan of Alabama if I so choose. I will make my decision on whether to transfer or not before the Alabama win streak reaches double digits.

All that matters is that he possibly feels uncomfortable in the department.

Well, that's a pretty massive can of worms.

Then why are the other 75+ black football players on the roster not transferring? It was a random comment from one baseball player who was dismissed. He left because the offense didn’t fit him and he got beat out nothing more.

Holy shite...there are people with brains on the rant, and a gator no doubt

so many dumb fricks on here. you wait until this shite happens at your school...this paves the way for a shite storm of college football free agency.

No one is ignoring it, but Fields should not be getting a waiver because someone in the stands at a football game said something he never heard himself. It's stupid. Not to mention the guy who said it was dismissed from the University. This waiver was granted the minute Al Sharpton got involved because the NCAA is run by a bunch of pussies. I hope they enjoy receiving these waivers every year because they just opened pandora's box. Once the racism card is pulled it's nearly impossible to disprove.

I'm 100% positive you're trolling, but Fields is transferring because Fromm is starting, nothing more nothing less. Had he been named the starter last year, he would not have transferred.

Here's the deal: he did it in public and got turned in.

Can you prove he didn't do the same or worse behind athletic doors and it was covered up?

No, you can't.

And that's why he won his appeal.

If it wasn't another member of the athletic department, the NCAA ignores this claim.

That doesn't matter.

It absolutely does matter. She signed to play at UGA after this incident, which Justin Fields didn't even learn about until the next day. The guys suffered nothing. He had no fear and there was no atmosphere that caused him to be uncomfortable.

I mean, he shouldn't be punished for it either. If coaches can leave schools and coach right away, why shouldn't players be able to? I agree that if there is a rule in place, it should be enforced equitably and consistently. However, I think the rule has outlived its purpose.

I’m okay with a rule change, but as you said make it the same for everyone. This picking and choosing at the NCAA’s discretion is trash. Jmo

Really comes off like the NCAA is protecting tOSU.
Is this a program being too big to fail?

It absolutely is, and before long you're going to have coaches recruiting players off of other college teams. You're not far from it now. College football will eventually be turned into another NFL and that will be it.

I don't see the issue with this.

Ohio? More tolerant?

Negative.

Free Agency - it is here. Any athlete can transfer anywhere, with any bullshite excuse, and the NCAA won't blink an eye

Expect to see a LOT more of it in the near future. McCoy will get clearance to play for Texas as well. Herman guaranteed him as much before he entered the transfer portal

If you don't think kids are taking notice of how these other athletes are getting immediate transfers I got news for you....Black athletes in the future if they want out can now play the race card and likely won't be challenged and they can reference this case because literally the only thing that happened was a kid made a comment and got kicked out of school. He said the N word - which while the word used in it's context was quite degrading - is just a fricking comment. Words literally hurt no one. They don't fricking harm anything. Bullets harm, knives harm.....You don't get fricking PTSD from some idiot making a comment. Millennials are fricking pansies.

I realize half of y'all are laughing hard at Georgia right now, but this is really actually bad for the sport, as for me, this signifies College Football Free Agency is well on its way. And it will not go well.
