The original irony of this statement added to a random inclusion of Bama about Lane is likely the most low EQ thing I've ever seen on this board, and that is saying SO much.

Kudos.

I asked the same months ago.

Maybe it will be like UT. Took the job and recruited for the Vols but USC opened up and he bolted. You just never know with Kiffin

Ya LSU has more tradition. It is quite literally all the state has.

Even if it was his dream job, that’s career suicide to coach three different sec west coaches in three months. If kiff goes to bama it’ll be his last major college coaching job. He’ll either succeed and retire at bama possibly nfl but if it don’t work, no ones going near him. I can’t see anyone making that kinda move.

Anyone remember Alabama football between Bear Bryant and Saban? People seem to believe that Alabama has always been a great model program.

3 SEC Championships and 1 National Championship.

A pretty bleak period and an abysmal 12-11 record vs LSU.

Bingo.

University of LSU fans seems to forget the years 1960 to 2000. Baws were middle of the road most of the time.

Ole Miss fan 26 is dead on.
They will recruit top 5 every year no matter who is their coach. It's BAMA

It is funny to now watch LSU fans put on their Ole Miss shoes and tell themselves there is no way he'd leave.

Look, he may not but his own history, specifically his time at Tennessee says it is far from certain.

Most I can find in print is that he said following Saban would be the dumbest follow ever. I know that he’s said something to that effect in his press conferences but I can’t find it.

From 1983-2006 LSU had 4 SEC championships and a 1 national championship.

1983-2006 national win% ranking (SECCs/NCs):

4. Florida (5,1)
6. Tennessee (5,1)
9. Auburn (5,0)
10. Oklahoma (-,2)
13. Georgia (2,0)
14. Texas (-,1)
16. Texas A&M (-,0)
24. LSU (4,1)
27. Alabama (3,1)

What does that look like of you remove Saban from LSU? Genuinely curious. I know Ole Miss was shite during this period.
