He went against multiple precedents established in Louisiana law that stays the SEC can enforced its own rules. It will get over turned on appeal.

LSU is neither a plaintiff or defendant in any case in Louisiana with the SEC...

Here's what is going to happen.
The players will win today. LSU will decide NOT to play the players and tell the SEC, "We just wanted to make a fool out of y'all. We don't need those players"
The players will sue the SEC and get their money.
LSU will win the SEC Championship and Stinky will have to award the trophy to Lane - unless he is in jail for contempt of court.

To be fair, judges do that ALL the time.
That said, the quote is missing context.
The SEC is TEMPORARILY barred for enforcing their sanctions so long as the temporary restraining order remains in effect. The judge is adding context to the TRO.
A federal judge can, of course, tell him to kick rocks. Taking it to federal also means that an appeal goes through the federal appeals process, not Louisiana's.

how, exactly, did he do this considering that we aren't breaking any SEC rules as they are spelled out on this issue?
