"The Judge's Direct OrderJudge Jorden officially ruled that the SEC and Commissioner Greg Sankey are legally barred from enforcing punishments or penalties against member universities that roster or play former NFL contract athletes. The text of the written order explicitly blocks the SEC from imposing any of the severe bylaws they passed last week, meaning:No 50% budget fines can be leveled against LSU.No half-season suspensions can be forced upon head coach Lane Kiffin. No loss of league voting rights can be enacted against the university."
Edit; That is old AI using previous TRO but got y'all all riled up haha
Elon is wrong, AI can't replace us

That’s the forced association that the SEC’s lawsuit references

Until it gets overturned on appeal and they get the hammer.

Sankey testifying was a disaster just as I predicted

See the SEC's federal action and Google "Supremacy Clause."

No one is going to be punished for playing eligible players.

LSU absolutely should play these NFL players - show the SEC and NCAA who runs college football! Nothing will happen to LSU. LSU is "the brand" and "too big" to mess with.
Every other school would love to see this happen. Put them on your roster. Tomorrow night is the deadline. Nothing will surely happen.

I'm sure getting a local judge to tell the parent institution that you don't have to abide by the same rules you just voted in favor of will go over REALLY well.

Something I’m honestly curious about, because I’m definitely not a lawyer, is what law are these judges basing their decisions on in cases like this? I mean, a judge can’t just hand down a decision based on his own whims and wants. So what is the lawful basis for these decisions?

The SEC better have a superior case to what they presented today.

You just quoted some AI garbage. The hearing is still going on. The judge has not ruled.

Judge is a complete corrupt hack fanboy. There is Louisiana supreme court precedent right on point.
LSU and this judge are about to get a lesson on The Supremacy Clause of the US Constitution.
