How would LSWho? fans react if Kiffin said something similar?

Not sure but TNs coach never said for TN fans to carry out some violent act as far as I can see in his statement.

Let’s see . . .
• Tenn fans threw golf balls and mustard bottles at Lane Kiffin in the past

• Heupel says “load up on golf balls and mustard bottles again”

• Then, Heupel hopes Tenn fans “haven’t cooled off”

• And, goes on to say he hopes the fans “will be ready for Kiffin’s arrival”

Anyone with a six-grade education would know what he is saying. The next excuse will be “but he was joking!” A head coach jesting about violence that could injure another person is irresponsible at best.

Lane can coach from a Pope Mobile golf cart. All will be well.

OK but he never directly called for any violent act. Should a coach tell his fans not to bring something like a cowbell to the game just because some fan attacked someone with one before?

The issue isn’t with Heupel telling fans NOT to bring something, it’s his inferring that they SHOULD bring golf balls and mustard bottles to the game! And, he referenced the past when they threw the objects at Kiffin. It’s okay to just admit he shouldn’t have said it. Heupel is a good coach. He made a mistake and should own up, correct it, and move on.

But man, he is really fat.

Yep, and watch Tenn football fall victim to the "fat coach syndrome" now.

The Fat Toad should have kept his mouth shut. Boy is dumb, we'll take care of it in November.

Don't forget what he did to you in Baton Rouge. You think you're going to fare better in Knoxville?

LSU hasn't lost in Knoxville since 2001.

And, LSU won their own mulligan game that year vs the Vols in the SEC CG and did God's work in keeping UTk out of the BCS Title game, so...

Not that it would have mattered vs '01 Miami, but kudos nonetheless

It’s not the mustard that causes the weight gain; it’s the fattening foods he puts his mustard on.lol

Yes...but I was responding to the statement "He looks like he knows where to buy mustard." If you want to make a slam on fat guys...say something like, "he may like mustard, but he looks like he loves mayonnaise" or, "everything he eats has a touch of mustard and a pound of gravy".

Come on, people...do better.

Maybe I'm in the minority- but I took it as a classic tongue-in-cheek response.
