Because it's Duke not LSU. Why did LSU get accused of paying an in-state kid to get him to come to BR? Don't be ignorant, Duke has a pretty good coach and history. They are atop of the best basketball conference (historically) and are always good.

The Auburn admin wants to talk with Bruce about the Person situation. He continues to decline the meeting. Auburn allows him to continue coaching despite his refusal to meet with his bosses about the issue. It’s the same situation short of how the 2 administrations have handled it. Auburn decided they wouldn’t let it be a distraction during the season, but you can bet they’ll force Bruce to meet with them as soon as the UNC game ends.

There is a reason South Carolina left the ACC. There are no two fanbases more smarmy and sanctimonious than Duke and UNC.

Everybody is dirty and nobody denies this. LSU's coach was a dumb enough to get caught in a world where everybody looks the other way, and LSU fans have been mad at the rest of CBB since. It's not Dick Vitale or Jay Bilas' fault that Will Wade is a moron.
ETA: A lot of us like college basketball, as dirty as it is, and it's the filthiest. A lot of us wish the WW stuff had never happened. But it did happen, and now LSU and WW need to fall on the grenade. It's not anyone else's fault. Why should anyone else pay for WW's stupidity?

Wade should be fired, but not sure LSU should be punished. Seems most of the time the coach gets off and the school suffers the punishment, which is wrong when it's not widespread.

I think LSU should absolutely get away unpunished. I can't see that happening, but they shouldn't pay for this, especially not after all parties involved are gone.

Jay Bilas and Dick Vitale notwithstanding, the old everyone is doing it defense will not work. Everyone feels picked on when the NCAA is involved. I have seen cooperation work to limit the damage and fighting them has also worked. Choose one or the other, but pointing the finger at everyone else is a non-starter.

And being paid huge sums of money.

So we have a system in place that everybody knows is in place.
So the best teams that win championships are the ones that are best at not getting caught cheating.
