But a camp with no pads, wearing gym shorts, and no defenders is evidence that Hurts is the Heisman favorite?

Not necessarily... Jalen is battle tested and took Bama to the National Championship in spite of being a freshman and damn near won the game for us... Quarterbaxcks can make drastic improvements over the course of a year... He has made significant improvements and will raise lots of eyebrows this year!!

actually what we said is that he was going against the parcel of jv retards that is your second team defense, and that Betty white could throw for 250 and a couple tds against those rejects, but that like every year under malzahn you idiots get your hopes up based on that garbage. We also then pointed out that Jeremy Johnson had pretty much an identical spring game to stidham the year he was a preseason Heisman lock according to your fan base, and how did that turn out for you? Personally I'm really excited to see you guys pull an Auburn this year. Preseason top 10 with a way over hyped mostly unproven qb plus losing pretty much every decent player you had on defense. It's gonna be perfect

Hurts for a great job leading Bama to the title game last year despite his weakness as a passer. I'm sure hes improved in that area but I'm not going to put much stock in the results of a passing camp.

Which of those quotes indicated he stole the show?

Let me start off by saying he was a great qb for a frosh, and the scary part being that there is still room for improvements to be made.

I just wanted to be ear on that point before I point out that Jordan Jefferson also got rave reviews from the media watching the manning passing camp. We all know how right they were on that one...

I love how a bama fan is trying to make TD readers believe he has miraculously changed over the last several months.

Didn't read after Manning Passing Academy. Several LSU QBs got "rave reviews" there this decade. Those reviews didn't exactly pan out to put it nicely the next season in live action. Perhaps Hurts will, but I look at it as a curse.

If you're correct that means the rest of the country's fricked because then the Hawaiian would have to be the real deal.

Jalen has improved and what he did as a true freshman was phenomenal but he was completing passes just like every other QB at that academy with zero pressure from anyone.

Stidham may be a great QB for AU this year, spring games are tough to judge because it a situational/scripted scrimmage. He has some talented weapons to target in the passing game and he'll have a damn good running game to ease him into the starting job. If JS doesn't pan out, you have a good backup with White.

Hurts was baptized by fire as a true-frosh, keep his cool and did a decent job in getting his team to the NC game. He's no Heisman favorite IMO, but he has experience under his belt and if he improves that passing game just a little, Bama will be in the hunt for hardware again this year.

No, its not but he is the returning SEC Offensive Player of The Year your current rent a cop, Stidham has very little experience.

I just want to share something I saw earlier today:
quote:

The Senior Bowl's Patrick Woo was extremely impressed by Nebraska redshirt junior QB Tanner Lee during the Manning Passing Academy.

"Tanner Lee was my favorite guy," Woo commented after attending the event that also included Lamar Jackson, Sam Darnold and others. "(Lee) embodies everything you want in a true pocket passer," Woo concluded. Lee sat out all of last season after transferring from Tulane, where he started 19 games in two seasons. Lee then won the starting job this spring and has not looked back since. For his career Lee has thrown 23 touchdowns compared to 21 interceptions.

Ehhhh.....Sam Darnold at USC is a better QB.....maybe the best QB in the country. Hurts still strikes me more as a running back that can throw the football.

Fitzgerald, though is intriguing. Lots of press on him, lots of wow, but he's only barely a 50% passer

His strength is the deep ball
His strength is the deep ball
His strength is the deep ball
Manning said it 10 times!

How is is short to midrange game?
How's his touch on the ball?

I'm sure he will be much improved....
But with that team he is already good enough
