In parallel to this story, there are theories about the naked short exposure from the original GME squeeze.


Public data never showed a drop in short exposure for GME. Many have hypothesized this was because they were repacked into other financial instruments which do not have as stringent reporting requirements.

The shorts stuff is all theories as far as I can tell, but Michael Burry did recently add some fuel to the fire on that front. It seems plausible that the real gme naked short unwind hasn’t truly happened yet.


Im not pitching this as truth, just summarizing what I’ve put together so far and wondering if anyone else has already gone done this rabbit hole?
