Hav you seem WSU this year? They are running the ball and playing very sound defense. When they get lit up it's b/c they are usually out manned.

Bama? Nah. Lots of college teams aren’t running pro style shite these days. I’ll be interested to see what happens that’s fo sure

No
It's not the late 90s, while that style of air raid was fairly unique at the time it's not now.
His teams aren't physical on either side. They run a lot of WR screens, try to play in space.
I don't see it. Maybe I'm wrong.

Meh. After the bad clown parade Vol fans
have gone through, I get the euphoria over
grabbing a name that's at least recognized
and the entertainment value Leach would bring.
The increased resources UT could provide
might make the difference---but I don't
see it.
In ten seasons at Texas Tech, he won 1 division
title and no conference and only one time did
a Leach team finish in the top 15 and never
went to a BCS bowl.
In six-years at Washington State, he has a record
of 38-37.
Overall, his teams have been good for maybe one
upset every year or two.
I think the biggest question is not whether Tennessee will grow with
Leach but if Leach can grow, and quickly, at UT.

Pretty sure Leach is more committed to the run now than in years past.
Ran for -24 yards in the Apple Cup

Why do people keep saying this?
They are 129th in the country in rushing. Like 70 yards a game.
Also, I'm giving a lot of credit to Grinch for the defense since Leach's teams haven't really ever played sound defense before. Also the fact that WSU would likely give him the reigns the day after Leach left. Now he can hire another DC of course, but that's just another chance. If he's not bringing him then that's a blow imo.

Bama is HUNH nowadays.
HUNH isn't an offensive system. It's a pace of play. You can run HUNH in any offensive system there is.

He will never go 0-8 like this year. He'll put up numbers. But he'll always lay eggs in big games. Look at Oklahoma in 2008. Look at Cal this year and the Apple Cup since he's been at Wazzu.
I love his personality. And he'll never underperform, but I don't see him upending Florida and UGA year in and year out. He's never won a division title anywhere. Granted Tennessee will theoretically give him the best resources yet, but I just don't see him winning anything of note. At least he won't lose to Vandy and UK. :p

He's 26-12 overall and 19-8 in the PAC12 over the last 3 years with some of the largest roster/talent challenges in the country. His players average star ranking coming out of HS is a 2.7 -- Which make wins over #5 USC, #18 Stanford, Oregon, Utah this season pretty impressive.
He'd bring some fun much needed excitement back to the Hill win or lose. As mentioned before, It will be interesting to see what he can do with the resources at UT if it ends up going through

The guy had Texas fricking Tech ranked #1. He had Wazzu ranked #6 this year. The guy can coach.

If you had seen the facilities at OU and OSU when Leach was in that league, you'd know just how stupid this comment is.

I think you are way underselling how bad Wazzu was when Leach arrived.

That's a little creepy, V&S.

You guys fouled off 8 pitches in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs. I be damned if yall didn't just hit it out the park with Leach. Congrats, hope yall rule the East

Are Leach's defenses any better than Gundy's? They seem like they have similar philosophies, and everything in Gundy's experience screams that he doesn't give a shite about playing defense.

W.State's defense is ranked top 15 in the country. I hope Leach brings his DC with him.
