Would not be surprised if this is the worst tv ratings of the playoff era. You have OU and OSU plus 2 regional teams.

It's because Bama isn't in it this year.
The one hit wonder and Cinderella season for lsu1* just isn't as appealing on a national level. Bama, UGA, UF and Au would garner much more national interest.
Plus, most rational fans know Clemson will win it again this year.
