This is not really fair. Austin is a very pretty city full or preening douches pretending they are living in some hipster paradise that in reality turned into the Disney Corporation Universal Studios model of what might have been cool about Austin in the 1970s and 1980s.
Its charm was that it was an under the radar indie city and now it is full of transplants pretending to be hip while living in Round Rock.
The student body is what it is . . .always has been.

I know how you people like to point to the overall record. You leave out the fact that, once the playing field was evened in the early 70’s, the series was basically even. Each school had long winning streaks in that period.
Before then, you had unlimited scholarships to beat a school that was a small, all-male military college about 1/4 your size. You should be ashamed you EVER lost a game to A&M under those circumstances.

Got my MBA there. Was president of my graduating class. At commencement, I presented the award for outstanding student to another Aggie.
I had considerably better grades at Texas than I did at A&M, with a lot less work.
Both are good schools. Neither are elite places where only the best and brightest get in.

“We have always sucked so it’s your fault you’re not undefeated against us” is an odd flex / rebuttal, but no one has ever questioned aggies’ ability of critical thinking (or lack thereof in this case)
We call that above an “excuse” by the way. Texas would make those in this rivalry, but we aren’t the ones that have 40 less wins lol.
What about since 2000? Was that a fair playing field? Surely not since Texas commands the lead since, right? Or how about just at Kyle Field? No… wait, can’t be. Texas has a winning record there too, so something must be off.
I guess you’re right, this is an unfair fight considering one school has always been the flagship school of the state, while the other has been replete with Texas rejects and cultish behavior that play army dress up. Feel free to let me know of an era when those meanie sip bullies weren’t playing with an unfair advantage over the rough tough, real stuff fightin texas a&m aggies and I guess we can debate over that era. Or you can keep making excuses as pussy as the one you just did and maintain y’all’s perception as having always been in our shadow

So, if you played West Point every year (a school with objectively more elite students and athletes than A&M would have had before 1970), what record would you expect? Yes, we were a small school with significant headwinds. Congratulations for winning most of the games. Now explain why you did not sustain that record once we had similar resources and offerings.
