Dunno. He couldn't even play both halves some games. Not sure I'd want somebody like that as my DPOY.

I think Mullen is COY. A 5 game turn around in year 1 is pretty impressive.

Curly Hallman could coach that team to a SEC crown

White may win it but not sure how that one is clear cut at all with the likes of Josh Allen and Quinnen Williams in the league.

Nah.

I know every bammer in gumpland will act like it's a personal slap in the face to their entire family to suggest otherwise, but honestly does meeting the status quo merit being coach of the year? He's the best coach in cfb history, so with that being the case why not just preemptively give him the COY every remaining season he's there? Bama started the year #1. They were supposed to win the west. They were predicted to go 11-1 at the absolute very WORST, but more than likely 12-0. They've done all of those things.

Kentucky on the other hand was looked at as an also-ran and has performed WELL over their expectations. They played a game in november that had they won would have put them in the SECCG in atlanta. That's insane! They have been highly ranked and have knocked off some teams they shouldn't have.

You talking about the team full of over-rated "Bama bump" recruits who always bust in the NFL? Taking those guys and beating everyone by 20+ points seems pretty incredible given those prevailing narratives.

Which coach finished further ahead of expectations? A&M was Picked 5th, but finished 2nd.

Nope, because Curly would never be able to get that kind of talent. Getting the talent is the most important part of a head coach's job in modern football.

As much as I hate Cam that was the single greatest year I’ve witnessed in college football. AU loses 4-5 games without him....instead they won the MNC
