Your fan base certainly is. No way I thought this program would get lost in the wilderness after the Tebow era. But somehow you managed to stay out of the national spotlight since 2009. That is a long azz time with Florida's assets and homegrown talent. Coaching must be a real thing.

UGA begs to differ...UGA has played in 8 of the last 9 SECCGs and won 4 including the last 2, and are the favorites again this year.

Sadly, those 2 coaches are s tiny snapshot in the medicore history of Florida football. They are the exception not the norm.

We were 6-0 going into Texas/UGA to make this

The one nice thing about sucking is that we didn't have fans running their yappers like this. I would tell him to act like he has been there before, but it has been so long I guess we forgot.

It's kind of embarrassing being so giddy about going 4-0 and beating one ranked team. But I guess we better go ahead and enoy it because I feel like we are about to drop one (or two) we shouldn't.

You Gators finally have some good coaches. Florida looks like the best team but I'm waiting for the shoe to be thrown.

The league is MUCH better with a good Florida. I would also say the same for Auburn. Looks like the gators are there first for sure.

I think Florida has paid its dues for a long time now.

Think you guys deserve an upswing and be back to top of the pack.

Story time for the kids, Longhorn, Sooner, Faggie fans, dyslexic LSU fans etc:
My uncle lettered in Gainesville. So, very familiar with the history and think the SEC 's better when Florida is relevant.

That said, you've got a generational back and a play caller who knows how to leverage that very well. If the Gators look this strong next year when those two are gone, that's when we'll know if the giant's finally awake or this was a one and done deal.

No doubt you've had a good run and Kirby has done a great job of keeping his rosters together. I still think the 9 game schedule, the rise of Florida, additions of Texas and OU, plus Alabama,LSU, Tennessee will make it difficult for anyone to dominate. The portal is still leveling the playing field for other teams meaning that it's a fight every week. Auburn won't be down forever.

Concur. We will never see another Saban/Bama dynasty again. I'm not sure Smart will be able to maintain this level of success either much longer....half of his success came before NIL and the Portal got out of control.

I firmly believe any team can be elite virtually overnight just by spending money. TT and Indiana are proof.

yes, i'd remind you that mullen was 10-3, 11-2 his first two years at florida.

Yeah, but then he went mental. Same with Jimmy Mac.

No one has ever seen that type of run before Coach Saban. And NIL will make sure no one else does. It was the perfect storm for many reasons.

I agree Baugh is stud...but he's averaged about 26 carries the last two games...that is a lot of wear and tear for an SEC back. Maybe too much focus on one player. One tweaked ankle and fla might be back to being a 5-7 team. UGA's starting RB missed the OU game with a minor injury....it can happen at any time.

Yes, the league is prepared.

They have a playoff and championship trophy ready for FLorida if they win it all. Nothing different than any other season except the engraved names

Our #2 is pretty good, too, so we're not that bad without him.

The real risk is injuries on our WR side. We pretty much have VBIII and Dallas Wilson.

The thing that all of them will struggle is is how it is that Florida has been playing college football for 120 years and yet college football did not exist prior to 1990. It really is a mystery wrapped in a riddle and cloaked in an enigma....

They may also have a hard time, ATM being the exception of course, understanding how it took Florida 59 years to win the SEC and, despite having been in the conference since day one has exactly the same number of SEC titles as Georgia Tech and Tulane combined, neither of which have been in the SEC for about 50+ years....

Florida has been a doormat for most of its history, luckily that history only spans 18 seasons, the other 102 they have had a program don't count....
