Infinitely this. I've lived in both. CS is a like a flat strip mall, shite hole with an overabundance of drunk drivers. You could LITERALLY pick up all of CS and put it in any other flat, boring hell scape and not know the difference. The kinda place that cares about decorating overalls.

Anyone who needs to ask this question doesn't know very much about Arkansas.

Fayetteville is a pretty nice area actually.

I would venture to say it would make anyone from College Station/Bryan, Tx somewhat envious really.

This is so unintentionally ironic that it's hilarious.

When I lived in CS 15 years ago, a significant number of students lived in one of the many mobile home parks (some of the biggest this Texan has seen). A cursory google search seems to show something like twice as many parks in CS.

I think it’s a pretty great area, as most do. Who the hell underrates it?

The handful of "trailer parks" that Fayetteville once had have mostly been replaced by new housing, apartments, and in one case, extra parking for the expanded regional hospital campus.

Land prices in Fayetteville proper are too expensive for a low-rent use like that.

Also, even after all the growth in the Fayetteville metro, it's projected to be the 6th fastest growing metro area over the next 5 years, so please don't fricking visit, and please don't fricking move here.

Actually I love going to Arkansas. Nice place to camp, fish, and hunt wild hogs. Most of the people I have met there were very nice.

I remember reading where the red fern grows and wanting to live in the ozarks. Field and stream also made it sound great for hunting and fishing. I don’t know anyone in east tn that really hunts anymore.

Use to be the place to go for gambling before Vegas. Use to be a vacation stop for high profile mobsters that were getting a lot of heat up in the big cities. Al Capone use to visit quite often. Babe Ruth had spring practice here.

Was there a few weeks ago, have some good friends there. I checked out the bath houses and the hotel at the end of the road where Al used to hang out. Some cool stores and some great restaurants.

I've never been there. Hell I have never been to many of the places listed in this thread.

What's it like? A straight version of Eureka Springs?

Eureka Springs has turned gay, not that there's anything wrong with that. You'll find it difficult to find a room that doesn't smell like lysol disinfectant. Mountain View has Bluegrass music on the streets every weekend. Any weekend in Sept or October is great. Going next week. Great time, mostly old people. You may find you a couger. Google it.
