It is sad because it wasn't like that before. My family is originally from the area. It has an old southern feel to it, like you are going back in time. A lot of history in that area.

Not true in the western half of the state, the Ouachita mountain area is very pretty. I would say for the western half, anything below I30 is just a pine forest. In the Eastern half of the state, if you like fields and swamps, you'll be in heaven.

It's not bad.
It's a lesser version of Tennessee in terms of scenic beauty, but the hills in NWA are nice.
