So does LSU look down on Ole Miss and see it as the ultimate embarrassment to lose to them or do they think it’s a big enough deal to storm the field when they beat Ole Miss? Can’t be both simultaneously

I remember an older generation of LSU fans who really hated Ole Miss. They're all dead now. Ole Miss has sucked for a long time.

It’s The Magnolia Bowl….and you know, with the evolution of AI-assisted searches, chatbots, etc.
there’s even less of a reason to live life as a complete drooling idiot.

Sorry, but it has'nt really been a rivalry in LSU's eyes for quite some time!
The game does become interesting for LSU fans, or even important, on the occasionally few times Ole Miss has been ranked or relevant. Numerous other SEC teams - like Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee are consistently far more relevant, meaningful than Ole Miss.
For the last few years, while Lane Kiffin coached there, the Ole Miss games (not rivalry) became more interesting, relevant.....as is the case this year. After tomorrow, Ole Miss will fall off LSU's radar.
And that is an actual, historical, correct answer/analysis to the OP's question.

When you hear an LSU fan yell Go to Hell Ole Miss and they are playing Arkansas or an Ole Miss fan yell Got to Hell LSU and they are playing Alabama, it's a rivalry.

Anybody that says LSU-Ole Miss is not a rivalry simply doesn't know what they are talking about.
LSU-Ole Miss IS a rivalry.
And that is an historical fact, Jack.

OM vs LSU has and will always be a rivalry. There are times that neither team should win,but yet they do. This game is so much bigger than Lane vs Pete!
This is the correct answer.

This is absolutely false.
All LSU fans hate Ole Miss.

It used to be. Every so often Ole Miss gets their shite together and make it fun again.

I went to high school in Louisiana 1960-1965. Ole Miss was the Big Game for LSU back then.

They still won’t be Mississippi’s main rival. They don’t have an egg bowl/iron bowl/cocktail party type game

LSU wasn't exactly a superpower from the 1960s-1990s. This has always been a great rivalry.

LSU was national champion in 1959 and were quite respectable in the 1960s. Cholly Mac just couldn’t get past The Bear.

LSU has been far better since 2003, but historically this is a competitive rivalry.
