Is the LSU vs Ole Miss game a rivalry game???

For years LSU fans have claimed no rival, but now with Lane dumping Ole Miss, does this change? Ole Miss seems to really hate LSU, but now the feeling is mutual.
Can we call this a SEC rivalry now?

Both sides are actually pretty apathetic to the rivalry as you have seen over the last 9 months.

OM vs LSU has and will always be a rivalry. There are times that neither team should win,but yet they do. This game is so much bigger than Lane vs Pete!

LSU has stormed their field at least 3 times since 2014 after beating Ole Miss. It's definitely a rivalry for them.

Well once because we won on the last play in overtime. Sorry for having fun. The other was a big upset over the #3 ranked team. Can't remember the third instance you speak of

I'm surprised some of you think LSU-Ole Miss might BECOME a rivalry.
It has been a rivalry game going back to the late '50s/early 60's.
Big rivalry. Losing to Ole Miss makes me ill.

It’s always been a rivalry. It just cooled off for the last 30 years because the landsharks have basically sucked. I’m glad we can hate ole miss again. And they can hate us even more.

Losing to ole miss gets an LSU coach fired. Nothing stirs our fan base up more
This is just the first stretch of games since Eli that anyone outside the rivalry paid attention to it, mostly cause ole miss generally blows
