Is lane going back to Oxford more explosive than Saban back to lsu in 2008?

Both were hate filled. Only difference is sabans maturity to handle it. God I hope Kiffin goes off and sparks amazing tv

There’s more heat this time. People felt lsu Would continue to have success even without saban. Ole Miss fans know the future is bleak so they are lashing out.

Saban didn't leave LSU for Bama. It's pretty well established that he inquired about the LSU job first when Miss Terry decided the NFL sucked. But Les had handled the Katrina chaos about as well as could be asked of a football coach and it would have been dirty to ditch him at that time.

The two situations are apples and oranges. Lane left Ole Miss and came directly to LSU and Saban at least left us for the NFL.

Saban back to LSU was getting hit in a broken bone that had healed a bit.

All good points but the but the hate is the similarity. They were burning sabans effigy. They hated his guts whether he came straight to bama or not. But those are good point differences

Saban had also won a title at LSU. Meanwhile Lane has never won a playoff game, Pete has multiple wins

It will be similar but on a smaller scale. Ole Miss fans won’t hate Kiffin any more than LSU fans hated Saban. Let’s try to live in reality for a moment. Saban has been retired for a few years now and LSU fans are still obsessed with Alabama

Since Saban retired, I don’t care about Bama anymore. Mainly, because Saban always took our best players from Louisiana. That came to an end the day Saban retired.

They are similar situations. But saban went to the NFL then back to college. Kiffin went directly to LSU.
