Why hasn’t Texas A&M Football turned the corner? It’s one of the great mysteries of our time. We have more resources than any other program and fertile recruiting ground at our back door. Yet we haven’t gotten above 2nd in our division since joining the SEC.

The answer to all this hit me today: College Station is too nice.

Look at Europe for example, where are all the bankrupt economies? The beautiful Mediterranean coast: Greece, Italy, Spain. Who has all the money? Frigid countries: Norway, Sweden, Germany.

Our players are surrounded by beautiful scenery and the greatest lifestyle available in the United States. Why would they have the motivation and fearlessness required to put their health and body on the line to win football games?

Until we can make our town a dump like Tuscaloosa or Athens, Texas A&M will never get over the hump.

I have literally never heard anyone say “I’m going to College Station, TX.” Never.

Nah.
People come first,
And we’re grateful to our visitors and want them to have an enjoyable, safe stay.

I’d be happy to chat about other issues folks may have with our university; but I wouldn’t change a thing about how we take care of our friends from outta town.

Athens is one of the most fun places in the SEC

Sorry nobody wants to come to a barren desert with ugly girls and men cheerleaders to spend the best years of their lives

College Station might be a tie for worst SEC town with Starkville.

That's some funny shite right there.

The Hill Country would be a much more believable troll.

Or,
Your team is having a hard time running up and down the field with the prolapse and hemorrhoids.

I dunno but if I was a highly recruited cool black dude from a big city, I’d probably be pretty turned off by the Branch Davidian/ Village People vibe at Texas A&M.

Aggy Station can only strive to be half as decent as Athens and even Tuscaloosa.

We went there after the tornadoes in 2011 to help. It was like a scene from hoarders. And the ghetto of Tuscaloosa is without equal. Baton Rouge has problems, but Tuscaloosa takes the cake.

See that’s the kind of odd, manufactured, silly stuff that makes me realize some folks simply make stuff up, just “because.”

No clue what the Branch Davidian thing means.
And I love me some Village People!
We are very definitely a fun, easy going group who take our traditions and university seriously,

But hosting visitors is amongst our favorite part of that.
And you’ll never have a problem finding lodging, support. food, drink, whatever when you hang out.
We’re all family.
