Sark didn't do that. Sark was the OC, not the HC. Sark didn't build Alabama etc.

It reminds me of the start of Days of Thunder. Cole takes Rowdy's car for a spin on the track, puts up a faster time than Rowdy.

Rowdy then looks at him and says - "You run good", "Now get your own car".

In short, it's not Alabama that he's walking out on the field with. It's that shitty arse Texas program that loses to Big12 teams constantly.

The next time Sark is successful as a HC will be his first. They call him 7 win Sark for a reason.

When he was at Washington, that's the best he could do really. I think one year he pulled off...8 wins. USC originally tried to hire Peterson, but Peterson turned them down. So USC hired Sark. Washington replaced Sark with Peterson.

Sark goes down to USC and does badly, I think he did manage 9 wins, a new record for him. But then of course he was fired the next season after losing a bunch of games and being a drunk.

Peterson goes to Washington..and has them in the playoffs a few years later. Sark couldn't get shite down while he was there.

Would have been a good hire...if it was for OC and you a team that wasn't full of pussies. Instead, you hired him as HC, and have a shitty team for him to work with.

Maybe he will have learned something from his time at Alabama. Maybe he will be better. But it's just another time "Rich and Powerful" Texas hired a P5 OC, or G5 coach to lead their program. Actual top programs hire coaches who are good and established winners.

In short, Texas will continue to fail because for all your talk about money and whatever, Texas never actually does what they claim. Just a bunch of cheap arse shite talking posers.

And the funny thing is, I bet you dumbasses make fun of A&M for hiring Jimbo, even though he - came from a P5 school that he won a national championship at. First national championship for that school in 14 years.

Overpriced G5 program if we're being honest. Like the rest of the Big12 outside Oklahoma.

He reminds me a lot of Kiffin. Both very good offensive minds and considered good head coaches but neither has really proven much as a P5 head coach yet honestly despite the praise they get. Both even had really good seasons as an OC at Alabama but even Mike Locksley looked like a good coach there. They've both bounced around a lot of places.

It'll be interesting to see how he does at Texas, no idea what to think of it.

Even in 2019, we were closer to Texas than Georgia in terms of recruited talent.

Were we though?

This is why I also referenced NFL rosters.

The 247 composite doesn't seem to accurately reflect NFL evaluations, especially considering 2019 when LSU had 14 players drafted including 5 in the first round.

Players drafted over the past 4 years

LSU 31
UGA 28
UT 14

Again, UGA and LSU have similar talent. The same can't be said about Texas.

And he came in and they went 34-29 over the next five years. He has never lost less than 4 games in a season as head coach. He was certainly a great OC at Bama, but average as a HC.
And the coach before him failed to lose less than 12 games the season prior No, he didn't win the Pac 12, but there has statistically never been a worse Pac-12 team to take over than the one he did. And it was his first head coaching gig ever.

I don't know of any longhorn fan (despite that flagship douche alter) that is saying he's "the next Saban". It'll definitely be a wait and see project, but he'll likely take his lumps with the current roster for the first 1 or 2 seasons

Bulletin: Sark no longer at Alabama. I think he is coaching at Texas.

Big difference.

Texas has a football culture problem. Sark may be good enough to overcome it, but his record as a head coach is uninspiring..

I give Texas as much hell as the next guy but being honest they have talent. If Sark can turn them around they will be a force.

If UTA doesn’t make it to the SEC until 2025, sark won’t even be the HC that comes with Texas.

Sark himself alone did nothing to LSU last year. You give coordinators way too much credit in a Saban ran program. What has Sark proven as a head ball coach ever in his career? If I was a longhorn fan I'd be messing my britches wondering what was about to happen with the umpteenth coach to try something new in Texas over the last few years. At least Herman had cut his teeth as a head guy at a mid-tier program prior to failing in Austin. Sark was a rehabilitation project that suckled on Saban's teat for a few seasons

For SEC folks not familiar with traditional Horn coping techniques, this is one of their key tools. If they ink a commit, it is due to their University's brilliance.

Anyone else does and it is due to bagmen, paying players, etc. They never lose . . . .they are just too pristine to play these dirty games.

No Aggy, it's literally because you guys got busted 7 times for cheating.

This narrative of Texas having no talent or Sark having to start over is demonstrably false.

Well that’s good, because he never said Texas didn’t have any talent, nor even suggested it in the slightest. Nice strawman though.

You are on crack. but most sip posters are right?

Bijan is a good back but to rank him the best is just sippy. Your defense would be right around Vanderbilt and Miss St.

Everyone but you realizes that your players are way overrated by the recruiting services. Isaiah Hookfin is typical sip recruiting majic. Moved from 1000 to 100 on ESiPN just beause he committed to sip. He sucked before his commitment and he still sucks. Hell he hasn't even started a game on the crappiest oline in the crappy Big 12. Keep telling everyone that you are a top 3 defense in the SEC while you get boatraced over and over.

At another program, Sark could be great. But at UTa, he’ll second guessed and boosters will be making the calls. It’s a rancid place.
