Is a 3 loss SEC team finally getting in the playoff?

Looking at the records now and the remaining games there is a very high chance only 3 SEC teams end up 10-2 or better. I think for a 3 loss SEC team not to get in this season it would take the Big 12 getting two spots, the Big 10 having four teams 10-2 or better and ND taking a spot as that would leave only 3 spots for the SEC.

Might depend what happens in other conferences. Do BYU and Tech run the table? Can more than one 1 loss team come out of the ACC?

The SEC should be guaranteed 4 spots no matter what, but we have a dumbass as commissioner.

No way to know at this point. Would a 3 loss SEC team get in over a 2 loss Notre Dame with no significant wins (if Miami beats ND)? I would hope so.

No. At this point UGA may be the only one unless a two loss team can win out

The Big 12 is looking likely to have two 1 loss or less teams in their game.
If Miami was to lose the ACCCG after losing to ND and the Big 10 has four 10-2 or better teams it is nightmare scenario though I have a hard time seeing them not dropping a 10-2 Big 10 before a 10-2 SEC team.

May have to wait till the 24 team playoff next year.

There are going to be several of them this year, so we should hope so.

No
The only 3 loss team that would get in is Dame.

Didn't a 3 loss LSU play in the BCS?

Maybe a 3 loss Georgia or Texas but not anyone else barring absolute carnage everywhere else

Why a 3 loss GA over other 3 loss SEC teams? TX might can have the out of conference win over Ohio state to bolster their argument but what would be the argument be for having GA over other 3 loss SEC teams?

If the playoffs are the actual 12 best teams in the country than at least 10 SEC teams would make it.

3 loss Texas would have osu win. No one else can say that

TX if they could turn things around actually would be in good shape if a 3 loss gets in but unless Arch magically turns it around its hard to see 9-3.

Yes if it is Texas or the loser of the seccg

Well the 10-2 team that is in the SECCG they will definitely have in the playoff.

Yeah we will see where the season is headed this week, if they can’t get right for a home game and drop their third in a row this season is lost as I don’t see them winning 5 in a row

Should a 3 loss SEC team get in? Yes absolutely. Will they? Until the Committee actually shows us that playing a hard schedule matters then I’m going to say no it will not happen. The Committee would rather put value on undefeated or 1 loss teams playing a schedule that is extremely weak than reward a 3 loss team for playing in a hard league or stepping up OOC and playing some top teams.
