Alabama could not align this game any better to give the Barn the advantage. Have no idea why Bama keeps playing them at the end of the season. It only benefits the Barn in every way.

I’d heard that JHS has not been renovated because of fear of upsetting the spirits. Didn’t they lose the Iron Bowl after the Jumbotron was installed?

I don’t care how much voodoo gets slung - Barn’s gonna have their hat on sideways with snot dripping off the face mask by halftime.

Better team almost always wins. But you would be a fool to think Auburn rolls over just because they looked like dried dog shite against NMSU.

Is a crock of shite. If you look back over the course of the series, the team that is favored to win usually does. Alabama will win this game easily.

I've said this in other places:

This is the kinda year where if the game is in Tuscaloosa then Alabama wins by 21+ points. If the game is in Auburn then Alabama wins by 7-10 points.

I thought that before the NMSU upset and still believe that. Hell, the fact they lost that game tells me their players were already focusing on this game and perhaps even their staff wasted practice time on gadgets for Alabama that they never intended to use against NMSU.

Iron Bowl Voodoo

is massively overrated. Well, maybe not "massively" as it related to the iron bowl, but "jordan hare voodoo" is overrated since people alwyas tend to ignore the fact that it typically kicks in when AU is actually a good football team.

Let's just stikc with theIron bowl specifcally at JH and look at recent history:

2021- Bama much better, bama wins (although it's worth noting this one was a major WTF? game. Bama was a quite a bit better but looked like dogshit and barely escaped. So sure chalk this up to voodoo if you want)
2019- Teams evenly matched, AU wins
2017- AU better, AU wins
2015- Bama much better, bama wins
2013- Teams evenly matched, AU wins
2011- Bama much better, bama wins
2009- Bama much better, bama wins (albeit much closer than anyone may have thought)
2007- AU better, AU wins

So let's see, in the games that AU was clearly better they won and in the games bama was clearly better they won (althogh occasionally faced more resistance than expected). Whenboth teams are on relatively even footing, AU seems to win.

This year, bama is much better and AU is absolute trash. This is the worst AU team since 2012 (who lost the Iron Bowl by 49 points that year). It doesn't matter what voodoo or spiritis or whatever people want to reference, auburn is going to get absolutely shellacked

Alabama playing at Jordan-Hare will be (to quote Rick Bragg) "like a knife fight in a ditch."

The better team usually wins no matter where the game is played. Since Saban started his run in 2008, Auburn has won in JHS 3 times - 2013, 2017, and 2019. The 2013 game was between two teams ranked in the top 4 and the 2019 game was Max Jones’ first road start after Tua got hurt vs Mississippi State. The only big upset was in 2017.

Was does happen is that Auburn puts up a hell of a fight against Alabama in JHS. Alabama’s only covered the spread once (2011) in that same timeframe.

Bama blew the game in the 4Q in 2013 and should have kicked a FG to go up 2 scores with about 4 mins left but then voodoo started. In 2019 despite not having Tua should have won the game but a fluke int bouncing off a players back as they were about the score changed the game late. In 2017 they were flat out beat because AU had all the momentum at the end of the season and Jalen Hurts still could not convert a third down against a competent defense. In 2021 AU was pretty bad, but Bama not having a healthy RB and Jameson Williams being ejected in the 1Q derailed the offensive gameplan. Things typically seem to go in AU's favor in Jordan Hare.

It's gonna be tough. It always is going back to 1989 when Bama went there for the first time as the number 2 team in the country and got waxed 30-20.
1993-Bama is up 14-5 late and Auburn has 4th and like 15 from the 35, Stan White goes down, Pat Nix comes in cold off the bench and the first play and just basically throws up a hail mary that is caught for a TD. Auburn goes on to win.
1997-Bama fumbles a screen pass in their own territory to set up Aubie with a winning FG.
2019- with 3 seconds left in the half the refs decide to review an incomplete pass. Once the review was done spotting the ball the clock should have started but the refs decided somehow, it was a dead ball and with Saban screaming from the sidelines the refs didn't start the clock until the snap giving Auburn time to kick a FG. this play led to an automatic runoff rule in this situation being added.

This shite is real down there. I expect it again and will be Bama's toughest game to date. Yes, Auburn will play better than Texas did.

So LSU fans get criticized for conspiracy theories about the SEC officials, but it's okay to believe that there's some supernatural phenomena associated with Jordan-Hare Stadium that has an influence on the outcome of the games? I just want to make sure I'm clear on the rules.

That fricking 2013 game. Couldn't convert a 4th and 1, OJ Howard had a completely unnecessary holding call to negate a run inside the 5, and Cade Foster could not kick a fricking field goal to save his entire family. Then Saban has the biggest brain fart in history with trying a 57 yard field goal. And to top it off this is the 10th anniversary of that abomination of a game ending and that shite will be everywhere this week on repeat. So yea frick that place.
