Georgia should beat Alabama this season. If they don’t however, you are going to hear some serious grumbling about Kirby’s struggles against Alabama.
Not really. In Kirby's 9 years at Georgia he has won several SEC Championships and two titles, and has made the playoffs a decent amount of times.. If he does the same in the next 9 years I don't care if he loses to Alabama every time. People's fascination with beating some random team that means nothing in the long run seems surreal to me.

It will be nice to see the first home game for Kirby vs. Bama during his tenure.
Bama hasn't been to Athens in 10 years

I had no idea Mike Shula lost that many games to teams outside the top ten in his second season. Who knew!?

Intentional grounding is not called nearly enough. QBs are given way, way too much leeway with that. Throwing a ball at a RB's feet on a screen pass because the defense has it covered should be intentional grounding, for example.

I dint think intentional grounding should be called at all, unless the ball won't go across the line of scrimmage. If a qb is under pressure and manages to throw a ball in play, risking interception, etc, no penalty should be thrown.

Same thing happened to Tom Brady in the second Super Bowl loss to the Giants very early in the game.

You see, someone who understands the rules can be concerned about bad rules or uneven enforcement of rules even when their team isn't directly affected. But it's no surprise that Alabama trailer parks are filled with mongoloids who will never grasp anything that complex. (Well proven on the first page alone.)

Intentional grounding is a horrible rule
It was part of the worst call I have ever seen in a game in 2013 between Ohio U. and Buffalo, which most of you have probably already seen:: LINK
A safety was called against Ohio's quarterback, Tyler Tettleton, for intentional grounding, even though he was near the 4-yard line and not in the end zone when the ball was released:. The referee, Tom McCabe, mistakenly ruled the pass was thrown from the end zone, resulting in the safety. The play was not reviewable, and despite replays showing the incorrect spot, the call stood.
Apologies for being "broken" and bringing this up.

Does 3 equal “several”?
But no question he has been successful.

Agreed. And I think most of the personal fouls called on hitting the QB are horrible too. You should be able to hit the QB an the QB should be able to intentionally ground the ball to keep from getting hit

Kinda like old school football? Yeah

There would never be a single sack again if they got rid of intentional grounding.

My point was if the ball crosses the line of scrimmage and in play. What's the difference between throwing the ball away?

I won't say it's terrible, but there are some things ...
For one thing, you shouldn't be allowed to spike the ball, just considering the rule. You're literally intentionally grounding the ball to preserve clock. So that's ok, but preserving field position isn't... or avoiding CTE.
Another thing is when they call it, and on replay you see the receiver fell or misread the play, cut the wrong way. I'm talking about when the ball is pushed downfield but nobody's in the area, not a short dump-off.
Honestly, a bunch of passes incomplete out of bounds meet the definition. Not talking about things on the margin, I mean passes into the bench. That's done all the time and not called.
Since you can't fumble once the arm is going forward, I'm surprised nobody has perfected a "lost my grip on the ball" move. We've seen bad passes happen, little floaters when someone was open downfield. Do that, and force the refs to call it
