I wish I could have heard y’all’s band play it in person.

The moment when ‘The Battle Hymn Of the Republic’ comes in is incredible.

Hypocrite. All of you, especially State, used that song and our other traditions to win recruiting battles. Not saying y’all were wrong or right. But that absolutely was used against us by the likes of y’all.

I was in the band at Ole Miss and the feeling in the stadium when we got to the Battle Hymn of the Republic section was indescribable. It still gives me chills when I think about it.

It’s been banned for 12+ years, I think it’s time to bring it back. It was banned cause the students refused to not yell “the south will rise again”. None of the students now would know to do that and they should just threaten to ban any student or adult that does.

Probably lost in the discussion is the fact that this is essentially ripped off from Elvis, a Mississippi native, as it is the trilogy he ended his concerts with.

You can thank the students for that.

I think it was American trilogy but I don't know.

Surely they won't cancel Elvis.

I’ve never spoken to a recruit so I’m not a hypocrite. I think traditions should be preserved in football

Amazing how a few woke stupid fricks can ruin traditions. It's just music, and players don't care, or don't know what the songs are. It's those very few lib tards that are probably not even at games who want to dictate what's played, sang, said, etc. And these traditions are gone forever.
