I’m concerned the league office will try & take out its anger with lopsided officiating

Against LSU…
It’s definitely something to monitor and I’m sure Lane is aware that this could happen. We’re not doing anything that anyone else in the league isn’t already doing (Bediako - Bama & Cole Hutson - Texas) but we’re not part of the protected caste.
We are used to biased officiating but it’s not secret that Sanky & Birmingham will be out for blood this year.

the way the SEC refs have historically called games, how will anyone be able to tell the difference?

It's still not as bad as the Big 12 was. I still rage about the Oklahoma State game.
and it goes both ways. ISU got completely hosed against us with that 99 yard fumble return that was called back (and was clearly a fumble).
We need professional, full time officials with no ties to any of the schools in the conference. It's the only solution.
