... and everyone plays just one OOC game and we'd keep agreements with the ACC and Big 12. It would look like this, right?:

Florida @ Florida State
Georgia vs. Georgia Tech
Kentucky @ Louisville
S. Carolina @ Clemson
Tennessee @ Oklahoma
Vanderbilt @ Kansas State
Arkansas @ Notre Dame
Auburn vs. N. Carolina
LSU vs. Texas
Miss St. @ NC State
Ole Miss vs. Baylor

Missouri would likely keep their game at BYU
Alabama is rumored to be hosting BYU (unless something has changed)

What about Texas A&M? Any rumors on a replacement for Colorado?

You would think A&M could find a bunch of teams in the Big 12 to play.

I don't see how BYU is going to fit into this. If they do 1 OCC game for SEC, Big 12, and ACC, that works with 38 teams, 19 OOC games (Including ND with the ACC). Adding BYU could be a mess.

ETA: Acutally the Big 12 needs at least 11 teams for a 10+1 schedule so if BYU + Another Team join with the Big 12, the 10+1 would work.

I know this is a bit off-topic, but I wonder if the ACC will use this to force Notre Dame in as a full member.

Notre Dame has been playing both sides of the fence here, using the ACC as needed, but getting to be independent (and keeping the money) in football. And somehow they've even been able to slide into the Orange Bowl rotation "as an ACC replacement".

The ACC will never have more leverage than it does right now; become a full-fledged member, or go schedule Army etc the best you can.

ND will most likely be an ACC member and compete for conference championship in 2020. Beyond this season, I have no idea.

You think tu wants to play a 9 game Big 12 skate plus A&M and Lsu. Their top 10 team would end up with 5 losses or more.

If COVID-19 is going to give us anything good, it had better damn well be A&M vs Texas.

I'd love to play a Big 12 team as well. Playing Texas or Oklahoma State would be a blast

Love 'em or hate 'em, Notre Dame has been THE prized target since expansion began. Every P5 conference would take them tomorrow. They PROBABLY could have saved the Big East.

The ACC has a deal with them, and like I said, they'll never have more leverage than they do right now. It would take a set of balls to do it, but I'd push the issue. Time to piss or get off the pot.
If they could land the Irish, that would make 2020 a success for that conference.

Both would be blowouts either way.

I would guess the team for A&M would be Texas Tech. When the PAC-12 went conference only both A&M and Tech lost an OOC game. A&M scheduled to play Colorado and Tech was scheduled to play Arizona, both on 9/19. Just too easy in this weird time and makes sense. Not the game we’d want, but still a good, semi-rivalry, short term fill in.

True, but the hype of USC/Bama would be exciting much moreso than BYU although BYU has fielded decent teams on occasion.

The ACC has indeed never had more leverage than now over Notre Dame, but the conference’s “leadership” has consistently shown they have no idea how to negotiate from a position of strength. ND will be given an unconditional pass to play a full slate of conference games, compete for the ACC championship, qualify for the ACC’s automatic berth in the Orange Bowl should they win the conference, and share in the ACC’s revenue. At the same time, they will preserve their NBC revenue -and when the season ends, will wink and wave ‘bye bye’ to the ACC.
I will be shocked if I’m wrong.

If we're playing only one non-conference game, then I would think that it would be one of the two cupcakes who we are already under contract to play (I'm excluding Fresno State because I think, like Colorado, they will not be an option), unless everything before a certain date is canceled. But, if we had to get someone who had an open date for the Colorado game, Tech would be fine by me and I believe they would be available that date--I just don't know if they would come to Kyle Field (not that home field matters much, but it does matter whose TV contract covers it).
