2003 - LSU had the better defense. It would be close but LSU wins.

If they were it wasn’t by much, Pete had third team linebackers that went on to play in the nfl that year. Team was stacked. USC offense was light years ahead of the lsu offense

LSU held OU's QB to 14-41, 145ish yards

Using your same ifs and buts logic, LSU could have won a playoff in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2019.

Lol. Yeah that 2011 team DEFINITELY would’ve beaten Bama in a playoff.

There are a million things that could have happened in the playoffs if they started in 2000

OSU may not have beaten Miami in 2002 as Iowa and I think UGA may have been in the field too.

2005 OSU had already played TX way tougher than anyone else had and decided on a QB so in a 4 team playoff they may have won

LSU may have won it all in 2006 as they would likely have gotten in as a 4 seed and played UF tough earlier that season

2007 you can throw up a coin on who should have gone to that playoff - honestly no one should have won it as bad as most teams choked all season

2008 does Texas win?

Can basically do it every year and if you have a 4/12 team playoff it can change everything

2007 - Georgia was good toward the end but you can’t lose to South Carolina and Tennessee

whihc is why we did not win it all in 2007. In thsi hypothetical of a playoff existing that yera, our games agianst SC and UT would be irrelevant.

LSU beat both teams UGA lost to.

We also beat UK (who LSU lost to) and beat Florida/Auburn/Ole Miss by worse scores than LSU did.

Much like 2002, I firmly believe that the way we were playing in November/Decmeber there was nobody in america that would beat us in a bowl game either year.

DEFINITELY

I’m pretty sure I said could have.

It wasn’t like Bama lit up the scoreboard either. FG fest until they broke a run with 4 minutes left.

This is why you’re an idiot. LSU would have smoked Georgia.

in a 4 team, UGA would have lost to OSU.

LSU is historically an 8-4 program.

This is called having nothing better to do in your life so you start a thread attempting to recreate history based on a wishful outcome.

LSU was 1-1 with them. An expanded playoff means that somebody else could have beaten Bama. Of course it's not likely but that's the way expanded Playoffs work.

How do you know that? You can’t automatically assume we wouldn’t win in 2003.

2007 either. LSU dealt with injuries in the second half of the season but was fully healthy for the NC game
