Jalen is a good QB. He got beat out at Alabama, but he got beat out by a player who proceeded to have arguably the greatest statistical season of any college QB, ever. That’s really no reflection on him. He’s a great player and a good kid. He handled a situation which was pretty crappy for himself personally with great aplomb, and when we needed him versus Georgia, he came through. I wish he could compete for the Heisman in a Bama uniform but the stars aligned a different way. I wish him nothing but the best at Oklahoma, although admittedly it’s difficult for me to pull for the team for which he currently plays.

If he has a great season this year he will win the Heisman because the media is going to play up the “Alabama done him wrong but look at him now” angle, even though that’s not really reflective of reality.

Lol. Nice try.

Lincoln Riley is a genius when it comes to developing QB's and maximizing their talent. He's the OU coach and Jalen will win in an OU uniform.

Bama will have to settle for having Hurts on their "Distinguished Alumni" Wikipedia page.

This is a weird statement since every QB he's used so far has been an incoming transfer.

Spot on.

I’m OU fan, Jalen missed some wide open guys the other night and scrambled. Hope he can sit in the pocket longer moving forward.

You better just go ahead and get use to seeing him roll right at the first sign of trouble and then only making it back to the line of scrimmage.

On the bright side, it's about like throwing the ball away. On the other side, it usually happens and he's missing the wide open guy.

He's gotten better and sometimes he'll make a good play, but yeah, he does it a lot.

He should give bama the statue if he were honorable.

He's always going to leak out of the pocket. The thing he got better at last year was keeping his eyes downfield instead of just running to the sidelines and trying to get to the corner.

I'm sure Riley will get as much out of him in that area as he can, but it's definitely still his weakest area.

Won't claim the Heisman but will always claim Jalen.

The perfect answer!

I don’t respect much about Bama but kudos to you guys for being Jalen supporters still. I know you’re one of the more reasonable posters here, but other fans seem to have the same attitude.

What’s most sad about the handle is it was created 5 years after that streak ended.

Folks truly love the kid. People have been trying to bait us into trashing him for months and it's just not going to happen.

All the back up QBs in the SEC will be looking to transfer to the Big 12. 2 in a row is a pattern.
