Who will be the first to go retro?
No DJ, no LED laser, no smoke.
No “stripe the stadium,” no “whiteout,”, no “blackout.”
Just football.

Ole Piss is the worst. After the 13th time they did it in the first quarter, it was like enough already.

Bucket of KFC some Luke warm beer bought in the way and cold tater salad accents an old school day of tailgating to go with the in game experience

The game I went to last year when Florida came to BR was like some sort of bootleg rave with the K-Mart blue light special light rolling. I miss the old days of going to games and listening to the band and following along in all the dances and chants. Now they are either playing this new shitty rap or this new shitty country (all of that is shitty though). The stadium experience is much worse than the TV experience now.

It seemed to work for Tennessee last week. I caught some of that game between watching Ole Miss score at will on Mizzou.
The stadium lights, ( not the field lights ) appeared to be rapidly cycling on/off when Alabama's offense was on the field. Is that legal ?
At least it wasn't cowbells !

This was cute too :
"Thousands of fans rushed the field as "Dixieland Delight" played over the speakers, resulting in a $500,000 fine issued by the SEC to the University of Tennessee (payable to Alabama)"

I remember the days when the crowd would get pumped up for a big play...and would stay loud instead of looking at the jumbotron after the play.

Would this pipedream remove the piped in rooster crowing every 3mins? Asking for a friend.

Throw in some Leanord’s Losers on the drive and a few of these in the trunk of a Buick and you’re doing it right.

The DJ in Tiger Stadium is horrible. He has sucked the life out of the stadium.

I would have expected this pro-tiki torch dog whistle from Ole Miss or Tenn. I'm disappointed, Aubie.

When I lived in Tampa many years ago the bridge was a mess with traffic. One radio station got a bayliner to call in traffic, next station got a helicopter. Third station said screw this and had "Moe on the Moped in the Mornings". Complete with this guy in a high pitched voice trying to talk over his whining Moped. Retro can be a good thing.

I know that everyone gets scores instantly via smartphone these days, but would it kill someone to make the occasional "In other games of interest today..." score announcement on the PA?

There is a private school near us that plays 8 man football and one of the top teams. Going to one of their games is amazing. The fans are spread around the field in lawn chairs and they have grills going on one end and it's not a modern football stadium. Just people enjoying a bunch of kids playing their asses off 8 on 8. It's pretty entertaining and the vibe has an old school feel to it.

I like the lights for the night games, the rest seems like its bait for people with ADHD.

Agree…TV experience is now better than stadium experience.

I can see the login in JHS for the past several years. The team play has sucked so we have to figure out how to make the experience with the obscene ticket prices.
Maybe we get over the hump vs LSU and we don’t have to rely on that dumb shite for ‘excitement’ anymore.
