What position would you teach him to play?

What if he chooses soccer?

Let your kids figure out what they are good at, and then support them in whatever they want to do. Who knows, you didn't even mention baseball, but that might be the sport they really excel in. Lord knows it pays pretty well too, even if you're not on the Yankees.

Would teach him SS/OLB its what I played. Which is what I think most men would teach their sons. Unless he showed beast mode running/throwing skills.

If he chose soccer I would punch his mother in the throat because it would not be my kid.

How about you let the kid decide and stop living through him.

Also don't knock soccer. They are usually in better shape than the 3 main sports.

I'm shooting for left handed pitcher....of course the fact that my son is actually a daughter currently may put a damper on that.

I have three kids - they are all different. My oldest (in college) didn't really care for sports, other than some bball and flag football. My high schooler is a wrestler - which I think is a much tougher sport. My youngest is now wrestling and playing soccer.

I like wrestling, though I knew nothing about it until 4 years ago. I just know that when they move off (and one will in two years), if someone gets in their face or they are in danger, they can take someone down in 2 seconds. It is an awesome sport and teaches toughness and work ethic.

Left handed relief pitcher. He can come in and pitch to 2-3 hitters a game and make a ton of money.

The only sport I'm good at is skiing.

The only position I could teach him in most other sports would be the fetal position.
