re: Has anyone here ever attended a tie football game?

I saw LSU play to tie Rice in 1974 and saw LSU and Nebraska play to a tie in 1979. Both brutal…

Definitely no to Arthur Bryant’s. My favorite is Slap’s, followed by Jack Stack, Joe’s, Q39 and Char Bar.

Well, since the overwhelming number of HBCUs are also in the Southern states…are they boycotted as well?
I’ve done that same trip. The topography changes so much from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon. It’s just beautiful…if you like the Southwest. We enjoyed Sedona, but weird vibes with the vortex and crystal crowd. I know it’s touristy, but loved the Pink Jeep tour, along with a hot air balloon ride. One of my favorite vacations.

What happened to the wife?
Uncle went to LSU. Older and younger brothers went to LSU. Wife went to LSU. Sons went LSU. Bachelors and Masters 1978, 1998.
She will fit well in that city…should get her own reality show.

I worked at my small town movie theater. Projectionist, concessions, open/ close. Loved that job!
Flew out of Tampa this morning. Precheck, 5 minutes. On time departure.
He’s not a very good singer. Lady Gaga was good. Ricky Martin was meh. But, it was a fun vibe. Not nearly as bad as I expected. He needs to get some cream for that jock itch, though!
Get off my lawn!
Auburn had the best defensive game plan against us. Although, we still had a lot of offensive yards, the defensive scheme kept us from scoring at will. No shame in that win!

My college friends and I used to call Coach Mac before every game. He talked to us every week. He was such a kind and gracious man…and was listed in the phone book. LSU and Dietzel were so disrespectful to him. They gave him a purple Cadillac at his last home game. So cheap and shallow.
re: What’s your favorite out of conference road football game experience?
Posted by slaphappy on 12/16/25 at 2:39 pm to Paul Allen
Dalton Hilliard and beating the Bear in Birmingham. The Bear died not too long after that.
Hadn’t been in years, but my my go-to was fried catfish, fried okra, Mac & cheese and watermelon.

I’m going. One of two SEC stadiums I’ve not been to. I have no expectation that the Tigers win.
