Alabama currently has the #1 class on 247 and rivals. #2 on On3.

It’s a dead heat for #1. And will be as long as Saban is at Alabama.

Georgia sitting at 5 5 stars and and a 314 247 ranking which would be good enough for 1st some years. Just so happens that Bama and A&M killed it on the recruiting trail this year and put up equally great classes.

Georgia and Bama are literally sitting in the Top 3 classes in the nation and this was a post you decided to make today. lol

Yea, we'll see. Every change has been the end of the machine and every change has been conquered.

A&M and Texas have always bragged about the Money generated by Alum and endowments. Well this has been what they have been waiting for. This almost guarantees them top 5 classes going forward. They will be able to outbid most teams on players. Look at the class they reeled in this year with NIL money. Reminds me of the year Ole Miss finished top 3 in recruiting. Only difference is now its all legal with NIL.

A&M is going to be #1 this year. First time since 2008 someone aside from Georgia/Bama. Maybe USC one random year?

We’ll see how Georgia and Bama do this time next year with Texas, South Florida, and California more or less locked down by the in-state schools.

You say this emphatically without any clue who’s left for any of the three vying for #1. Still more announcements on Friday. And well in 2022.

Bama is about to bring in the highest star average it’s ever signed. Let that sink in

Wow, seems like this was just yesterday!

Alabama signs highest-ranked recruiting class in history
Feb 3, 2021

It was Alabama vs. history entering National Signing Day, with the No. 1-ranked class, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Team Rankings, already decided following the Crimson Tide’s 325.95 points amassed during the Early Signing Period. The question was if it would it hold onto that positioning, the highest ranking ever generated.

Spoiler alert: it did.

The Tide went on to bring its record-breaking total to 327.91, along with a 95 player rating average, also a record.

I hope we can manage to hang on and compete in the new world of college football.

Like someone on the board mentioned earlier, it will all boil down to team chemistry. Some high spenders gunna look foolish if they’re still 8-4.

They still have to develop as players and compete for titles all of which the Texas teams have failed miserably at.

Besides, they will ultimately put some guardrails around NIL to try and keep the playing field leveled.

The difference is, Saban is the best coach in college football and Jimbo is, well still Jimbo. One year in college station and the aggy contribution to the portal will be huge.

That’s the part OP seems to be forgetting. Plenty of teams over the last several years had top 5 classes that busted hard. Included in those busted classes include some Texas and USC ones. Just getting 5 stars isn’t enough. More than half of them will bust so you have to do a good job of evaluating talent. As well as developing them and utilizing them properly.

You add the transfer portal and a lot of these guys will transfer out as soon as they don’t get the results (team and/or individual) they were promised.

Yep. If there is one thing we know about Nick Saban is that he is terrible at adjusting with the times and changing landscapes of college football.

The rest of the SEC including Bama doesn’t have the cash to compete

Unlike,LSU we don't continually live way over our means. We had over $100 million in cash reserves
going into the Covid CFB seasons and weathered the storm just fine.

I don't get your narrative anyway.
The NIL money isn't coming from the school's bottom line
