Are any of you old enough to remember the United States Football League? It was a spring league started in early '80s.
They selectively spent money on star power and landed quite a few. Seasons might have been too long, 18 games. Those teams were far closer to NFL standards.

They won't last 3 though.

The Birmingham Iron will be selling out soon. They looked pretty dominant on defense.
They had maybe 10K at their game Sunday.

Right now the AAF is older ex-NFL guys,
Is it? Most of the guys on the Iron are early 20s.

So it was simply a TV deal? Interesting. Leave it up to the media to use 3rd grade words to confuse the readers. I clearly read something about a partnership, but it was obviously just the TV deal. Thanks for the info

Well they pushed back and then almost didn't make payroll last week. There's probably enough interest to raise more money if needed but if they don't figure out all of their organizational logistics they might not finish the season.

You sure about that?
They might not last 3 to 5 weeks.LOL

You realize they couldn’t even make payroll for week two right?

Maybe one day they’ll draft kids out of high school. Maybe instead of entering the “transfer portal” kids will opt to forgo some years of eligibility and go to the AAF.
