Has any other schools had as many injuries across multiple sports in one school year as Arkansas has this year? This academic year has been disastrous in terms of injuries.
Football - KJ, Dominique Johnson (ACL #2), Catalon (#2) and our entire secondary, Pool (played but limited and ineffective due to injury)
Basketball - Brazile, NSJ
Baseball - Wiggins, Tygart
For these keeping track at home, that's our QB, RB, a third of our defense, our best two basketball players, a weekend starter, and our closer.
Arkansas needs to get the players juiced up in order to avoid injuries! If you are trying you won't win anything! Just my two cents (now I am using dollars due to inflation).

Football was just more than a few injuries. Poor coaching by Sam.
Basketball was due for a down year after what happened the last two years no matter if the injuries happened or not. The expectations were raised way high on a bunch of unknowns.
Wrong twice.
A few (significant) injuries in conjunction with little to zero depth and a lack of talent across the board.
No basketball team in the country is ever due for a down year off two Elite Eights and a top 1-3 incoming recruiting class. It's very silly to see things otherwise, if we're just going to throw a blanket over any other relevant moving pieces.

But when I do, it’s about John Daly.

Knew from the start this thread would go south. Hope all those guys a full recovery if they haven’t already. Sometimes an injury opens the door for others to step up their game and surprise you.

Yep, some can’t comprehend the situation and also flip flop when things change.

If God hated Arkansas, they wouldn’t be located Fayetteville. They’d be in a place like Starkville, Mississippi.
Only took 6 posts for the OP to get murdered in his own topic.

Arkansas had many returning starters back on offense and did very well replacing some starters lost on defense through the portal. Arkansas began the season in the top 25 and were picked third in the West, the highest prediction since the Petrino years.
But last year turned sour after the fumble in the A&M game. That loss turned out to be just awful. Then they played scared against the most vulnerable Bama team since 2010. Got ran off the field at home. Didn't have a decent QB that could take over an injured Jefferson against a mediocre state team. Had the worst effort from a razorback team against Liberty not seen since the Chad years. Flipped flopped QBs against LSU and displayed some bad offense that resulted in wasted scoring opportunities. Didn't bother to show up and play hard against Missouri which is why Missouri has been owning Arkansas from the start. Then Arkansas almost lost that would have been an embarrassing game by letting Kansas almost win in OT. This Kansas program hasn't been to a bowl since 2008.
Arkansas lost four games by a combined 13 points. Sam Pittman just did a poor coaching job after taking the SEC by surprise in 2021. In response he had to clean house within his staff because it was a disappointing year and Arkansas just didn't meet those higher expectations not seen since Petrino.

Catalon was a huge loss

Tygart is only out 4-6 weeks from a strain. Sources come my uncle who knows the family.

Wiggins could throw a hard baseball. Hate to hear it.

Now do Ole Miss, Vandy, Missouri, Kentucky, and let's not forget South Carolina. All SEC juggernauts.

I’m not sure you understand the significance of losing Catalon and Slusher

Arky excuses thread starter pack:
"Our coach was bad so it doesn't count"
"We were your Super Bowl"
"We didn't care about this game anyways"

Did the injuries of both cause Arkansas to lose six games including stinkers such as the Liberty and Missouri games?

towards the end of the Muschamp years we had like 20 guys out, and baseball had a ton out also
