There won’t be a season. They will try but the moment someone gets sick, and they will, it will be cancelled. It’s just not going to happen. Might as well accept it now.

I expect the schedule to be condensed to conference games only

There shouldn’t be any cream puff OOC games on the schedule anyways

I think it will be cancelled. I can't see how the authorities are going to allow 75,000 - 100,000 people to cram together in a small space to watch a football game.

They are talking about this coming in waves the next 12-18 months. We will stop it and then it will come back in areas. Right now it will take a vaccine and a treatment by July in order to have a Football Season. Or any Sports Season.

I think we will have football, but I do think it could be in empty stadiums.

What I am insinuating is that typically in a time of “national emegency” the national championship winning football coach is not the first choice for news networks in covering the topic at hand. Not a slam on Orgeron.

"And why am I seeing Ed O on Fox News giving analysis on this virus and instructing me on how to sneeze and cough? Out of all the people they could of gotten..."

Right, that's what you are insinuating.

College football players are among the lowest risk groups. I'm sure there will be games, but there may be no fans in the stands.

Everyone has to get that TV money, and there's plenty of time to plan a way to make that happen.

ETA:
Just to be safe they should probably think about preventing coaches over 55 from attending for their own safety. Gotta protect our elderly.

Yeah that’s what I’m insinuating. Bet you had a low reading comprehension score on your act. There weren’t any doctors or pandemic experts? That’s what was meant by saying “out of all people.” If I meant what you are insinuating that I meant why would I back off of that argument. I don’t care what a football forum thinks about me. If they could have gotten another football coach in Ed’s place was my argument why the frick would I back off of it you moron?

What’s going on right now is not an overreaction. You sound like the type of guy who thinks they should show their masculinity by demonstrating how non-concerned they are over this. Your sentiments still won’t change the fact that we are about to be in a major shortage for ventilators, masks, healthcare workers, and hospital beds. Not a slight shortage. A major shortage. Trump declared the DPA just a little bit ago. You know the last time that happened? World War 2. You know why? Because they realize a major shortage of medical supplies is about to take place.

If you have a wreck and need emergency surgery you better hope you live in one of the cities that get resources from the military to operate a mobile trauma unit. It’s not a bunch of easily led morons who are perpetuating this. People that are actually heeding the warnings are the ones demonstrating an ounce of intelligence. Come back in a month and tell us how we are such easily led morons. There is a time to defer to experts on things. This situation is one of those times. There aren’t any experts on pandemics currently countering the commonly accepted consensus of the expert community on the outcome of this thing. Not one. Sure, all have slight deviations to the projected outcome, but none have an outright rebuttal. That should speak for itself. Are you operating under the assumption that these experts are all in cohorts together to overhype it in order to panic the world?

Are you the type who would have zombies walking in your front yard, but to demonstrate your masculinity, would be telling everyone how overblown it is?

No, you can't! Tua can't even have his one man pro day at Bama. 0' repeat 0'
athletic events involving University facilities etc...are allowed until the
the quarantines are lifted by the conference and NCAA.

Way too early to predict.

If we get a hand hold on this by mid June, we'll have football.

The games aren't getting cancelled. People need to stop hyperventilating.

This isn't going to carry over all the way to the Fall. MLB is looking at only a delayed start.

Things will be back to normal in a month.
