That's why Ohio state will always play second fiddle...no killer instinct.
Before you say anything about me being a Gamecock fan check out the overall record between our 2 schools.

We were playing the backups to the backups, and we did not run anything crazy on offense.
Our bench is just that much better than TCU. Kirby mentioned our scout team played TCU's defense better than TCU did

What are the backups suppose to do when a TE is literally running wide open across the middle of the field

When Les Miles had Mettenberger in victory formation taking knees with 5 minutes left against Ole Miss, people said it was classless. What's a coach to do?
Miles also was cussed and then brushed off after the game by Bobby Petrino for kicking a FG on 4th down in a blowout. I guess he was supposed to go for it and try to score another TD?
The only real issue I had with last night was Bennett, Bowers, and others staying in the game into the beginning of the 4th quarter when they were already up by 40+ points. I believe Bowers stayed in for at least Beck's first drive. That and continuing to throw the ball deep down the field instead of just trying to eat clock. However, I'd be more concerned about opposing players getting pissed and trying to hurt people than feelings getting hurt in that situation.
If he wanted to make a point to Dykes about his comments, whatever, I just found it a little unnecessary but what are we really talking about here? The difference in a 57 point win and a 43 point win? At a certain point of embarrassment, does it matter by how much?
TCU was also stupid for going for it on 4th on their own ~20 yard line before UGA's last score. If they were so worried about the score, maybe punt the ball and let UGA run the clock out, not give the ball on your 20 with 7 minutes left.

Even with Carson Beck at QB, the playcalling was run, run, pass on 3rd down.
Honestly. Heck... we occasionally did run on 1st, run on 2nd, and run on 3rd.

If you can't stop the team you're playing in the national championship game, that's your own damn fault.

If it gets the attention of the bowl selection committee to reconsider a move like keeping TCU at #2 after losing to Kansas State...then so be it.

well, last night certainly didn't get the attention of the AP poll. I would love to hear a good argument for a 2 loss team to remain at #2 after losing by 57 points. Oklahoma dropped all the way to #7 after getting blown out 63-28 by LSU in 2019. If that loss happens any other time during the season, TCU drops maybe out of the top 15. Given they lost to Kansas St 2 games prior and needed Michigan to trip on their dicks to beat them, they shouldn't get credit for making that game like the AP poll gave them. No one can say with a straight face they were the second best team in the country this season

TCU beat the #2 team in the playoff.
And then lost to the #1 team in the playoff.
If the concept is too difficult for you to grasp, then you need to advocate for no playoff. No 12 team. No 4 team. Back to the BCS system for you.

UGA took out their starters with 14 minutes to go in the 4th quarter.
They had 3 4th quarter pass attempts, all with a backup QB.
They pretty much just ran the ball up the gut with their 4th string RB and scored 2 more TD's in the 4th.

But you said TCU was going to beat us. We had no choice. We had to make sure we won.
You are a confusing alter.
