Bama is better now, obviously, but:
Bama won the west 5 times from 1991-1999.
Bama won the west 5 times from 2009-2017.
Arkansas had 4 losing seasons from 1991-1999, but also won the SEC West.
Arkansas had 3 losing seasons from 2009-2017, never finished better than tied for 2nd in the west.
Auburn finished top 3 in the West 5 times from 1991-1999.
Auburn finished top 3 in the West 4 times from 2009-2017.
LSU is better now, but:
LSU finished #1 or tied for #1 in the West 2 times from 1991-1999.
LSU finished #1 or tied for #1 in the West 1 time from 2009-2017.
Ole Miss had 3 losing seasons from 1991-1999.

Texas averaged 6.6 wins the last 9 years and had 4 losing seasons. Herman finished with the #3 class after going 7-6. Winning transition classes aren't a sign of a good recruiter. Look at his bump class. This has been proven. Mullen is also one of 5 coaches since 2005 to drop in ranking in his 3rd year joining Derek Dooley, Kyle flood and Derek mason who all suck

Y’all need to get out of the past. Florida has recruited better than State every year, so we’ll see who the better coach is come September. Surely State’s greatest coach ever can beat some OC scrub from Penn State that has less talent on the roster.
