Jesus Christ, how many times does it have to be asked and answered?

I've yet to see a solid answer. Y'all just get all mad and butthurt and deflect, exactly like you're doing right now

Bowl, you know you just troll us so no answer would ever be a good one for you. A nine win team with 18 starters back is the optimism. That’s all there is to it. Yes, there is a question mark for how good Moorhead will do. It’s impossible to know until we play the games, but he has all the pieces to do just as well or slightly better than last season.

Teams that return 17 or more starters with at least 6 draft picks next April usually win alot of games

Maybe in the Big Ten. But when you're still only the 3rd most talented team at best in your division (possibly as low as 5th), it doesn't really matter.

That's it? I was told there would be a record setting 9-10 draft picks

We should have 9-10 players drafted.

Hopefully y'all continue to get closer to reality as we get closer to the season

You better be prepared to eat a big bowl of crow when Nicky Fitz and Moorehead go in dry on the Barners this season.

Or maybe he knew the passing game wouldn't have worked or resulted in interceptions and that was his best running back. Mullen is not a dumbass

Holloway was never our best RB.

Stomp or whoever the frick you are, maybe you should tell Urban Meyer about small scatbacks in the SEC..Jeff Demps was a 170lb lightning bolt RB who took dive plays many times up the middle...when he did escape the line no one could catch him.

As I recall Meyer won some hardware at UF.

I'm in complete reality. We will have at least 6 drafted but I think the ceiling is 8.

I also agree we will win the SEC if we can get by Bama in Tuscaloosa. Thats going to be tough to do

Fitzgerald has never gone in dry on any defense with a pulse. He's never even "gone". In 2 starts vs Auburn he's completed 45% of his passes and thrown 3 interceptions, and that was with the QB whispered as a coach.

I think I'll take our chances

This is the shite UF gets to look forward to. Good luck.

What I don't understand is why MSU fans aren't allowed to mention the deficiencies that Mullen had as a coach. I get that there are plenty of MSU fans who are ridiculous when they claim he sucked. And those people are idiots and bad MSU fans.

Mullen was a great QB developer and brought stability to a program that was historically bad. But that doesn't mean MSU fans shouldn't be allowed to mention:
- bad recruiting
- bad relationships with DCs
- going conservative in big games
- atrocious management and recruiting of WRs
- some strange offensive addictions, like 3rd and long QB draws or Holloway up the middle
- being a prick in general

Dan is a good coach but he has some glaring deficiencies that will derail him real quick at UF if he doesn't clean them up.

Whenever MSU fans mention this, there are cries about "he was your goat!!! Shut up!" Rational MSU fans aren't belittling what he did there. He was great for us.

Miss state should build a statue for that guy, state was an easy pencil-in win every year for virtually everyone in the sec until merlins built the program up.

You understand that Tulane and Georgia Tech have more recent SEC Championships than MSST, right?

Mullen was not ya'll's problem.

Because a lot of them are tied to the location and prestige of MSST.

You guys are not some football powerhouse with recruits lining up to play. The only reason it looks like that this year is because Ole Miss is under sanction and Mullen turned a 4 win average over 9 years team into an 8 win average over 9 years.

He also accomplished this while three teams from the same division either won or were in the championship consistently every year he was there.

Heck, even last year he played both SEC Championship teams and the National Champion in the regular season at the worst school in the West.

You guys are not that great of a football program, and you guys have to understand that no one can recruit that place without some serious help -- like Ole Miss being sanctioned.

The way he handled his exit will prevent that any time soon. But he definitely left us better than he found us.
