He also went up against the greatest dynasty of our time in Nick Saban’s Alabama teams. The SEC West was weak in the 90s compared to the East.

Jackie Sherrill won the West with an 8-4 record. This is not the same West.
Mullen had MSU at #1 for a solid month. He took MSU to an Orange bowl. Both of those accomplishments are worth more in this SEC than winning th west 20 years ago

No- Mullen kept doing it until Holloway finally got hurt. Then he had to play Aeris Williams who proved to be a much better RB than Holloway. Mullen is bad about playing less talented players because they are seniors. State fans hated that BS
